This is my go-to antiperspirant and I will be stocking up! I'm generally a pretty sweaty dude - I'm in good shape, but as soon as my body starts heating up, either from physical exertion or outdoor temperature, I start sweating, and my armpits get noticeably wet. Now, dear reader, I will share that I have the gene that makes armpit sweat stink, so this is a perpetual problem in search of a solution. Let's just say I've tried a lot of different strategies before finding this product. Not good: Using antiperspirants 10-15 years ago that combined clumpy application with overly strong covering scent and stained white shirts. Not good: Natural antiperspirants (then and now) that smelled of hippies and seemed to solve the problem with "tree sap" type viscosity in the armpit. Not good enough: Daily deodorant that was only good under ideal conditions - once the sweating started, the clock was running on when the moisture would break it down and the odor would start to come through. Not good enough: Roll on liquid antiperspirant that was somewhat effective, but required entirely dry armpits to apply, since any moisture would cause extreme irritation. Enter this Dove product: Application/texture is dry, but a couple swipes on the armpit and it goes on smooth without leaving a ton of clumps in my armpit hair. Some white product is visible immediately upon application, but it turns invisible shortly after application. Once its on, it's not overly dry/astringent, and it's not moist like a deodorant, it keeps my armpit feeling...well I don't feel it at all and that is a welcome relief. This scent is clean, fresh, and not overly powerful. I have a somewhat sensitive sense of smell, and the green version of this product literally burned my nostrils with its pungency - not a bad smell from afar, but having it that close to my nose had my eyes watering, even hours after application. For the Clean Comfort scent, I apply it after my nightly shower, it has a nice gentle scent, I sleep on it, and in the morning, my armpits feel dry and comfortable, and there's only a hint of the scent when I stick my nose in there to take a whiff. Now for the effectiveness - I am probably one standard deviation above the mean in terms of my sweat production, and I do intense workouts that have me drenched in sweat on a regular basis. Since I've been using this product, I don't think I've smelled odor coming from my armpits after a workout at all. With this confidence in hand, I decided to run a test on the 72 hour claim by seeing how long the product would last on a weekend camping trip in 80-90 degree heat. Thursday afternoon was the last time I fully showered, washed my armpits, and applied the product. Thursday evening, I drove to a friend's house near the campsite to stay the night. Friday morning, I took a quick rinse of a shower, but didn't wash my armpits (for science!). Friday afternoon, we headed to the campsite, then I was building a tent and setting up the campsite in the direct sunlight and my body was definitely sweating up a storm. Before going to be Friday, I was pleasantly surprised I couldn't smell odor at all in my armpits. Saturday spent the day doing mini hikes around the campsite, playing with the kids, and otherwise being out in the types of hot conditions that would absolutely cause my armpits to sweat and stink, but still no odor! Even when I returned home Sunday afternoon, no trace of odor coming from my armpits. I thought the 72h thing was going to be a gimmick since I assumed so few people would be willing to go that long without a shower to test the claim, but for this data point of one, it absolutely nailed it in extraordinarily challenging conditions. If you've been struggling to find a good antiperspirant that checks a ton of boxes, this may be the one for you!

This is a great deal! My husband recently switched to this brand and smell, and he loves it. The smell is so good! It's hard to describe the actual smell, but it reminds me of freshness, clean, and just relaxing and cozy! You can't go wrong with this scent. The texture, is normal to any antiperspirant deodorant. It does help with sweating less (via the armpit) and keeps him smelling nice and clean from shower to shower. Even after a long day at work, sweating his butt off, he comes home smelling just like he put the deodorant on, which is a huge plus! The size is normal. It's a 2 pack so that's always a plus. I don't know anything about the aluminum content, I just know that this deodorant does it's job, with ease. No need to worry about if you're going to smell like sweaty pits, because the product does not give up after you start sweating. To me, the smell is very sexy, inviting and perfect! You can't go wrong with this 2 pack!

This is the go to deodorant for the men in my family with sensitive skin/allergies. Some of the guys stopped wearing antiperspirant and used only deodorant due to allergic reactions to whatever is in antiperspirant. I'm not sure if it's the aluminum or zinc but something was causing allergic rashes. No matter what the brand, the guys were getting triggered. This DOVE MEN antiperspirant plus deodorant is different. It has a lower percentage of the active ingredient and poof! No more allergies! Now the guys are smelling great again (everyone is jumping for joy!) and all is well and balanced. No more sweat and no more stink!
