Q: Would this work on my plate carrier with with molle loops.

Well, the seller says it won't work on a MOLLE mount ... just last night I mounted it on a MOLLE vest with ceramic plate inserts and it works just fine. The MOLLE pins are a bit short to comfortably lock the system through 2 loops, but with a little upward nudge of the fabric and a pair of needlenose pliiers to help with seating the locking system it works great. Very stable. Carrying a Kimber 10mm in it and it's the smoothest polycarbonite holster I have found for seating and draw. One would expect the 1911 frame of any manufacture would work well, though I haven't tried 45 ACP as yet. I highly recommend this holster with the experience I've had.

yes it will. 38 super is a fine round for a semi auto especially in a 1911.
