To be clear, I bought this refurbished at a reduced price, and it has been going strong under heavy use over 30 days. I'll comment on the battery life, gaming, weight, craftsmanship, heat, and default/included programs.Battery: there's a dashboard that lets you choose how the battery performs. If you like leaving the laptop plugged in for weeks or months at a time, you can set it to only charge up to 60% or 80% because fully charging to 100% and then leaving laptops plugged in damages the battery. If you like using it on the go, you can choose charging it to 100%, and you can tell Battery Saver to engage at any %, so I set it to engage at 90%. This allows me to get 8 hours of battery life under continuous use.I play Roblox a lot and I have no complaints about the graphics nor performance. There is slight lag, but I can't say if it's my internet or the processor. I assume internet speed because the laptop is very quick with everything else.I like 14" laptops bc they're portable, light, and still provide a pleasant viewing experience. This is no exception. I'm pleased with the slim portable size, and light weight.Craftsmanship: it is a solid machine. My biggest complaint is the lid looks like glass, and even your fingertip can scratch it. I went to brush dust off and my fingertip left a long scratch. The laptop comes with a carrying sleeve. It's only going to protect the laptop from being scratched and collecting dust when not in use. I recommend buying a better case if you plan on traveling with it. Aside from the lid, everything else is satisfactory. The keys are large, the touchpad is large - maybe too large. I say that bc you have to be conscious of your hand placement or you'll right click when you meant to left click. The fingerprint scanner is on the touchpad. I haven't used it yet. But I have set up the facial recognition feature which works well. The camera, screen, and backlit keyboard are well made and are very functional.This laptop produces a lot of heat and unfortunately, it goes straight out the bottom onto your lap. On a table or hard surface, having the lid open props up the base which helps with ventilation. Just like the battery dashboard, you can use the performance dashboard to set how much processing you require - knowing that the more performance you use, the hotter the laptop will get. It can get painfully hot. And will significantly reduce battery life.Default programs: unlike most cell phones, this laptop comes preloaded with lots of useful programs. I haven't delved deep into the list, but I know ColorDirector is a basic video editor. This free version lets you touch up the video colors, saturation, and framing. It only allows you to export videos as .wmv files (but you pick the quality/file size at least). There is a basic photo editor that lets you crop photos.Overall, I'm pleased with the battery life and the freedom to set power saving settings based on my activity requirements. The performance is great with the power set to "performance," even though you'll get between 2 and 4 hours of batery life in that mode. The 14" screen is clear, it's a lightweight laptop, easily portable. However, I recommend getting a zip-up travel case because the lid gets scratched very easily, and the provided sleeve doesn't seem travel appropriate. The keyboard feels good and the backlighting is handy. The touchpad is large which is good - unless you like using the left and right-click fuction bc it's easy to forget where you are on the pad if you're not looking. As for heat, the hottest part of the laptop is the underside. With battery saver enabled and performance set to 'efficient,' the heat is manageable. In 'performance' mode, it gets unbearably hot if it's on your lap. Even in ecfficiency mode, performance is adequate for video and photo editing. The included programs include a video editor, photo editor, and what looks like a audio file editor. I am very pleased with this laptop!

So far this has turned out to be an awesome laptop. Love the thin and light to it. Been playing rainbow six seige and it played perfectly with no issues so far. Even played some pubg and it was playing no problem.Update. Already started having heating issues with the device while playing games. I bought battlefield 5 and it was just not playable. It was reaching temps up to 100c which is crazy for a laptop. Then come to find out it only has one fan cooling the cpu and GPU which in my opinion is just not enough. If your going to play games sacrifice the size and get something better. For the price of this unit you can get a much better gaming machine than this. If your not playing games this is still an awesome machine. But to me not worth 1200 dollars

This laptop was a huge mistake by a reputable company… it is in fact lightweight and has style but for the powerful components on this inside of the machine makes it a really bad choice for a laptop. For the price tag the laptop has a super low quality in material, the touchpad is too large for comfortable typing, and the powerhouse only has 1 fan and simply surfing the web gets this thing ridiculously hot. I wouldn’t recommend this to a gamer for gaming, or a professional for Office or editing. Very poor execution from MSI.

Been gaming on it since day one no issues at all... using cooling pad.This is not intended to be a gaming laptop but it can game. With a cooling padOther then that this is a very efficient and lightweight little gaming beast.Most games will run medium to high 1080p ill be some settings turned down a bit but the 1650 max q is not to demanding on the battery and keeps it running for about 6-8 hours depending on what you are running at the time. And it stays cool if your not gaming so its great for school.My one complaint is the metal creaks sometimes when I'm handling it could be screws or inner frame but its all good besides that.Oh almost forgot 2 thunderbolt ports are the best 👌

Hasta ahora vine aprobar el portatil como es, tiene buen desempeño, al inicio me costaba saber si se calentaba mucho debido a que no lo usaba tanto, pero ya para viajar y el trabajo ha sido un gran compañero, cabe resaltar que la tarjeta grafica para juegos es excelente y ayuda mucho al momento de jugar videojuegos por fuera, tengo un desktop con una RTX 2060 y este no se queda atras, realmente en graficos es bueno, eso si, cuando uno lo esfuerza si se calienta en juegos y demas, sin embargo, en labores de ofimatica (que para el trabajo es lo que lo uso) ha sido una experiencia muy buena, es muy productivo y no se queda atras, la laptop tiene varias ventajas como los diversos tipos de usos (super bateria, equilibrado, balanceado y alto rendimiento) esto ayuda mucho con la duracion la bateria, asimismo es importante mencionar que la duracion tambien se ve reflejada en ello. Generalmente lo uso en alto rendimiento ya que asi la laptop da todo su potencial y es perfecta para que no se quede atras, sin embargo, si uno requiere revisar correos o ver multimedia facilmente se puede colocar en modo super bateria y va a durar mucho. Para el transporte compre un cargador USB tipo c diferente al que trae en su empaque, esto debido a que hay cargadores de 100W que ayudar a cargar la bateria y no toca llevar el adapatador que trae consigo la laptop, asimismo compre un cable acorde a esta carga para no dañar la laptop, un sobrecosto de casi 100 USD esto para cargar algo mas portatil a la hora de viajar! sobre el calentamiento de la laptop se genera cuando se carga y cuando se usa en juegos, en el resto del tiempo no tiende a calentarse. otro dato importante es que sin bateria si da su maximo rendimiento, no es como otras laptops que uno saca el cargador y baja el rendimiento, los ventiladores hacen ruido pero no lo normal, cuando se usan al 100%, sin embargo no hace tanto ruido como se espera. He quedado satisfecho con la compra, asimismo el envio fue excelente y llego en el tiempo dado.
