AVG Technologies AVG Internet Security 2020, 5 Devices 2 Year 2020

This was a 2 year, 3 device license for AVG Internet Security. First two devices installed in Oct 2020. Both devices had the paid, licensed software disappear in Dec 2020 and it was replaced with a free version soliciting another purchase. I re-installed the remaining copy of the license on one computer and I am now being told it is only good until Feb 2021 instead of Oct 2022. AVG will not help as Amazon is a third party seller and they state they cannot vouch for the authenticity of the product and I should contact Amazon for resolution. The return window on my purchased expired after 30 days. Very disappointed is this...very. Will not buy software from Amazon again. Somewhere between Amazon and their supplier, I got bad/counterfeit product that no one will stand behind. Potential buyers look elsewhere.

This product has become nageate. Even after installing a license key they consistently nag you to buy extra products no matter how many times you say no.Very irritating from. What used to be a great product.

Difficult to download, shortly after, computer was locked. Called the number and was kept on the phone for 22 minutes with not helpful advice. Then the technie wanted me to pay for the security. I paid Amazon $49.99 for the security package. The technician spoke poor English and was rude. Don't buy this product!

I've been using Norton Internet Security since 2009. Norton was a great product until it merged with Lifelock. Now, Norton is a time wasting huckster for unnecessary services and products, with popups designed to scare me into purchasing said unnecessary products. I can't opt out of these messages and I can't block them.This year, AVG Internet Security filtered more malware in laboratory tests than did Norton. I'm moving all of my 250 or so managed computers to AVG this year. I'm about 10% converted now. I am very well pleased with AVG up to this point.AVG Internet Security is not a perfect product. It lacks a spam catcher and built in performance improvement features. I found that Norton's spam catcher didn't work very well anyway. The way Norton improves performance can damage SSD's. AVG has a performance product called AVG Tune that I'm testing and have not deployed. I don't really need either of those features.Another concern that I had was that AVG would adversely impact performance. That hasn't been the case for me. AVG is far less intrusive than Norton. AVG doesn't pop up an ad for a VPN that I don't need while I'm trying to get some work done.Cost is never a factor for me in deciding which product to buy. It turns out that AVG is slightly less expensive when the subscription period is factored in - two years versus one.

Great price but aways tries to sell you more protection.

Have been using AVG internet security since 2012 and have had no viruses or other issues on my pc. This 2020 version works as well as all the others... Buy from Amazon, less expensive than AVG website.

Continued to get indication of virus but was unable to resolve until I removed the product..After that I scanned with windows defender and it showed no virus>>>???

I didn't want this....I want an version that will sit on an Amazon Fire 10 Tablet. This one DOES NOT WORK. HELP
