AVG Technologies AVG TuneUp 2020, 5 Devices 2 Year 2020

The people who wrote these negative reviews are not intellectually disabled people. Following the instructions, doing everything you supposed to do, download, activate with your code, enter personal info, then waiting for the activation...Yes, you will still get the notorious "Sorry, something went wrong." message. You may thrash around for a while before finally realizing that you will be another 1-star reviewer in a few minutes. Just what the hell can go wrong with an elementary sign-up process? It is an utter shame that this problem is still not fixed by this company. If it is such a recurring issue, you would think they would write down the fix in their e-mail after your purchase to avoid this frustrating experience. Instead, it comes across that they do not give a damn. Here is my one-star review hoping to change this one day.

Purchased the software through Amazon. When entering the activation code, it gives me the following error message: "Sorry, something went wrong..."I am not spending hours on the phone with Customer Support to fix this problem. I am buying Norton's tuneup. I have the old version, never failed but wanted to save some money with AVG, and ended up having to buy Norton anyway.

Don't bother buying this. The activation process does not work. I chatted with a rep, but she couldn't make it work either. So far I have waited weeks for AVG to get back to me on this with no result.

I bought the Tune software, downloaded it from Amazon , Installed it, ran it & it supposedly analyzed my WIN 10 PC then wanted me to pay an exorbitant sum of $$$$ to fix the problems that it said it found. Avoid AVGI

I used the AVG Tune Up for several years ( 4 or 5 ) and it worked well. The 2020 version is a total rip off. Functionality is less than 50% of older versions unless you purchase a VERY expensive upgrade. The AVG PC Tune Up is no longer a value added product. Avoid if possible. I wasted $25 to learn this.

Decided to take a break from System Mechanic for two years - Iolo software frequently causing problems for me (and my PCs). At first trials AVG TuneUp worked just fine. Ask me again in two years how the switch worked, and whether I'm sticking with AVG - or going back to SM.

I'm joining the chorus of those who are complaining about not being able to activate the AVG program. I can't do it from here and when I go to the AVG website they don't know who I am. I am confused and angry. Plus, Amazon says that I purchased it TWICE when I didn't!!!!! And you can't get a freaking refund.

Cleaned my laptop with ease; is a must buy; or try the free version.for many years i have used norton's full programs for everything else; am so satisfied with the avg program their other programs will now be my backups!
