Inov8 Terraultra G260 Trail Running Shoes The world's toughest shoe for running the world's toughest trails. Revolutionary graphene-enhanced rubber delivers the world's toughest grip, with next-generation underfoot technology striking the perfect balance between comfort and responsiveness. Inov8 Shoe Fit Scale For technical footwear, a good fit is essential to enhance your performance. Inov8's new Shoe Fit Scale makes it easier to find the perfect fitting shoe. All Inov8 shoes are designed with Met-Cradle technology to lock down the mid-foot for a stable hold, where they differ is in the toe box. The shoes are now graded from 1 to 5, Grade 1 representing their closest, most precise fit and Grade 5 representing the widest fitting toe box. The lower the number on the scale, the narrower the fit, which ensures minimal internal movement of the foot when running fast on technical terrain. Shoes with the higher numbers on the scale will suit athletes with a wider foot and those wanting that extra comfort in the toe box. This wider toe box allows the toes to splay for increased stability when lifting heavy weights. It's also perfect for longer runs and races when toes begin to swell. Inov8 have graded the Terraultra G260 Trail Running Shoes as Grade 5. Breathable Mesh Upper The Terraultra G260 is fitted with a lightweight, highly breathable mesh upper that is biomechanically designed to enable the natural movement of the foot. The breathable nature of the shoe wicks away sweat to leave you dry and fresh, even on tough terrain in poor conditions. Kevlar overlays - commonly used in bulletproof vests - are inserted to give an incredibly high level of durability and toughness to the upper, giving the shoe an outstanding blend of toughness, and comfort whilst still retaining its lightweight. The Exterofit upper adapts not only to natural movement during running but also common swelling encountered during long-distance running, reducing pain and improving comfort co

Quite good, but graphene is over rated
I’ve just taken delivery of my second pair, after running 700 km in the first pair. The sole does seem to have very good grip for quite some time, but the graphene does not ultimately seem to make any difference to the durability. The sole wore away like any other shoe, and also seemed to squash and spread.

Excellent trail shoes
I've had these shoes for a couple months now and they defiantly live up to the hype. My first dozen or so runs were on mellow sandy trails and the grip and fit have been excellent. For those like me that don't bother unlacing shoes when taking them off and putting them on you will need to be careful not to damage the heal cup as I have already done that. I wish all shoe companies would make these stronger. My last trail run was an alpine 10 mile, which included sand, sharp rocks, boulders, water and snow. They worked well and again great grip and comfort. They did loosen up a bit after getting wet and did accumulate a bit of dirt and rocks inside. The lip around the outside ankle also came apart, probably from a rock as you can see in the picture.Overall, I would highly recommend these shoes. From someone that is coming from years of Altra and Topo shoes, you likely will never look back after wearing these.

Swap the insoles and gtg
I really like these shoes. At first I thought they were too narrow but it didn't make sense as they are equivalent to a EE width. When I out them on they fit in the upper but the soles were rubbing about a 1/2" from the edge. After some experimentation I figured out it was just the insoles. They have kinda sharp edges and did not match the width of the footbed. I swapped out the insoles and good to go. Now they are my favorite running shoes.

Amazing traction on ice and snow.
I bought this shoe to use during winter runs on trails. I run over pavement, snow, ice and sand. Usually in the winter I switch between regular running shoes and shoes with micro-spikes when it gets icy. Since getting these shoes, I have not have to use microspikes. The graphene soles on these shoes have amazing traction on ice. It is really hard to understand how well they can stick to ice. A big advantage of using these shoes over micro-spikes is the micro-spike are hard to use when you have sections of dry pavement to cross. The Inov-8 works well on all surfaces.
