Unrefined Roasted Rabbit with Ancient Grains & Superfoods Dry Dog & Puppy Food

We have fed our dogs Earthborn shortly after they were adopted by us (one if 5 years old and the other is 4 years old). We tried several high-quality, well-known dog foods and this brand is the best. We wanted a food that was high-protein, without recall problems, and one the dogs would like to eat. We have tried every single flavor that the company offers and previously fed the grain free version of this food.When the new research surfaced regarding dogs getting diagnosed with heart issues after being fed grain free, we decided to try out ancient grains. Even though our labrabull previously had problems with certain types of feed before we switched over to Earthborn, she has not had any problems on this brand. The company is great to work with if you have questions, and they make the food in small batches. Check dog food advisor and other websites as well if you have any doubts.I can't speak for feeding this high-protein food to smaller breeds or other types because I've only had larger breed dogs (50-70 lbs for my girls,) but would assume the smaller breeds would just eat less of it. Our two have also never had any issues with stools or overeating. They both run 12-15 miles on average a day on our 5 acre property (thanks doggie pedometers :)). If you have a high-energy pup that needs extra protein and a high-quality feed, look no further.PS - my dogs do like the salmon the least. When given the option between salmon and all of the other flavors (our dogs always have a bowl of each side-by-side,) they always pick the other flavor.

We have an older pomeranian and a toy poodle. Our toy poodle has allergies and I hope this food will be helpful for her allergies. The food arrived today, a few days ahead of schedule which was nice. The price is about the same as purchasing locally but most of the local stores either don't carry it or they are sold out of this variety.Our older pomeranian, nicknamed Fuddette, has always loved to catch rabbits and eat them if they come into our yard. Both of our dogs have lately became finicky but as soon as I opened this bag they came to get some.Both seemed to enjoy the food so this is a good purchase so far. The food is a bit pricey but if it resolves the allergies of our toy poodle so she can get off perscription meds it will save us a lot of money. If anything changes I will update my post.

I like that I don't have to go to the pet shop to purchase it. When I go to the pet shop, they never have enough in stock. Thank you.

My dog has suffered with allergies for years and I have had a really hard time finding a healthy food that doesn't contain everything that I know he is allergic to like potatoes, poultry, most grains like corn and wheat and yet offer the grains that are needed for a healthy heart. There has been some controversy on dogs being on grain-free diets because of the heart issues that can arise and at first I was concerned because of the ancient grains might flare up his allergies, but he has done fantastic and seems as though he even feels his best. I would recommend this brand to anyone who has a dog suffering with food allergies. I have tried so many different brands just to wind up trying to find something else and this seems to be perfect for us. Glad to have found this!

The food itself seems fine. My dog eats it when given. However, I bought this because my dog was having allergy issues (cow, chicken, turkey) and needed to try a novel protein. My pup has been shedding a ton since starting this food and is still biting / licking at her paws and legs, so unfortunately this does not seem to be a workable option for her. Shame to have bought such a gigantic bag to try out.

One of my dogs prefers red meat based foods and is a picky eater, but neither of my dogs are crazy about lamb, so with rabbit and lamb I was curious about how they would react to this food. I like the ingredients, no peas, no lentils, no legumes, no chicken, no by-products, no potatoes, no fillers, no artificial colors, no artificial flavors, no artificial preservatives. Both dogs were initially curious about this food, and both of them appear to like it better than their core food. I mixed this into their regular daily food at 25%. I do this because it keeps the interest of the picky eater, and so the other one doesn't feel short changed (yeah, they know if the other ones gets something special). Good food and the dogs know it. They like the rabbit and it appears that the lamb is in low enough amounts to not discourage them. Kibble size is a bit smaller than average so should be good for most dogs.One note on this food - it is around a medium protein level at a min 23%. This is often better if you have a lower activity house dog or a hyper dog, or a dog with kidney issues (check with your vet of course). Sometimes high protein can wind up your dog or have health repercussions.

My pooch has an allergy that I can't pin point. She has itching skin,chews her paws and her fur falls out more than regular shedding. I know its food related. I keep trying different foods and combinations to help her health. So far Earthborn is the only dry food(out of MANY) that doesn't give her issues. I do not see any allergy symptoms when given the Lamb or Rabbit. I am leery of trying the turkey as she has reacted to turkey products in the past.. I mix the Earthborn dry with an organic wet. Even though its pricey I always come back to Earthborn.

I would definitely recommend this flavor of dog food to people who own small breeds of dogs. The kibble is much smaller then the other flavors, so they are easier to chew. This food is good for dogs, and doesn't have all of the nasty fillers that are causing dogs to have canine dilated cardiomyopathy. Awesome product!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
