Surprisingly good quality
So...I know nothing about bicycle pedals. Honestly, I set a $30 budget for a new set and picked the coolest ones (off of Amazon) in that price range. That being said, I have 2 good friends who are both professional bicycle mechanics. Both immediately commented that the pedals were sturdy, stylish, and looked very grippy for mountain trail riding. Apparently these pedals are machined aluminum, which is stronger than stamped pedals (the $20 kind) and MUCH lighter than steel. For the money, I can't recommend these enough.

Not recommended.
These didn't last, broke in half. At first, I thought they were great, nice and light. But they eventually broke in half so it is not a product for longevity.

aluminum platform pedals
Excellent pedals, particularly at the price paid. As nice as others I've seen for 2-3x the price. Individual screw-in posts provide a lot of grip, and the pedals are pretty lightweight.

New Grip for my Whip!!!!
GRIP GRIP GRIP. WOW. I don't care what kind of shoe you have on, what the weather is like, your feet will stick and stay in place. I actually put these in my 2014 Red and Black Specialized Tricross Sport Disc Road Bike. They look great and when cycling through the city of San Fran, along the coast, or just around my urban neighborhood these pedals rock. They feel great, made tough, removable spikes. I think the platform is a great width for anyone with a size 8-10 shoe.

Wellgo KC001
I rode these for the first time the other day while it was raining, and I stayed on the pedals without the slightest slip. I see a lot of reviews saying they are small. They are, with the platform coming in at 8.4cm (3.3in). However the removable pin make up for that to keep your feet in place. I have a size 9.5 wide shoe and my foot fit comfortably on the platform and I rode very smoothly. In addition the pedals look very nice and stylish.Overall these pedals have done what they need to do, and come in at a great price. It took a while to get to me but I live on the east coast and it ships from China so it was worth the wait.

Super shoddy construction and assembly!
I bought 3 of these for my bikes June-2015 as seen in photo-collage (to take advantage of combined shipping) and finally got to using them because I had been riding my Shimano clipless pedals. This pedal was shipped from China simply wrapped in a brown paper bag. After less than 40 miles riding on them (on non-elevated paved street roads going ~12 mph), the platform on the right-side came right off the spindle while I was heading home so I had to walk the rest of the way home! As mentioned, I was going super slow so I was lucky! If I was a serious rider like my buddy who likes to crank hard going 20 mph and the pedal came off during the down-stroke, my lower-calf probably would've slipped unto the chain-ring and endured plenty of stitches at the hospital! When I got home, I examined the spindle and it looks like the bolt holding the platform to the spindle was over-tightened by the factory worker resulting in the thread being stripped and destroyed - as you could see, there's a piece of metal in the shape of a "C" leftover from the bolt.I'll simply be tossing away the other 2 pairs. Lesson-learned is, I'll revert back to buying my bike pedals from a reputable seller such as Nashbar or Jenson USA who actually purchases their inventory direct from the manufacture. Maybe the one's I got are simply fake - because when I go to my bike shop, the Wellgo pedals I see on their peg hooks look way nicer as the casting on the metal of these pedals i got are super rough - as if the foundry was in someone's kitchen. It's not worth getting seriously hurt and getting a huge medical bill for stitches because I decided to save $8 on pedals. Having biked for 20+ years, at the $19/piece I paid at the time, these are the most expensive pedals I've ever purchased - $19 to ride 40 miles on them. My $65 Shimano clipless pedals has 400 miles on them and can probably go another 4-6 seasons on them before simply needing to be regreased!
