OtterBox Symmetry Series Case for Google Pixel 4 XL - Black

In the world of phone cases Otterbox is definitely considered to be more practical than fashionable, and my wife always makes fun of my phones for how "utilitarian" they look. But, at the end of the day, my phones last years longer than hers and I really have to attribute it to these cases. My phones go through quite a bit of abuse throughout their lifespan getting dropped on hard floors, skidded across garage floors, knocked with tools, dropped out of the bed, you name it. These Otterbox cases just seem to do their job too well, keeping more money in my pocket for longer and less money flying out of it at the phone store.The fitment and quality of these things are flawless. It fits my Pixel 4 perfectly with zero wiggle or play. It doesn't add much bulk at all and still feels like a normal phone in my pocket. The Symmetry line is much more everyday-user friendly than the more heavy duty Defender cases which almost always needed the belt holster because of how thick they were. There is not a screen protector built into the symmetry, but still low profile enough that I have been able to use any number of protectors (cheap or expensive) without the Symmetry case getting in the way at all. This particular case for the Pixel does not have a rubber flap to protect the charging port like the Symmetry case for my iPhone does, but I can't say it bothers me much not having it - just blow it out with compressed air every few months. The area around the charging port is plenty big enough to accommodate the USB-C cable from Google, as well as several of the aftermarket cables. The opening around the speakers and charge/data port are large enough that they don't seem to cause any interference with normal operation, and yet are still modest enough that they still seem appropriate and effective.Overall extremely pleased with this case, and especially the no-questions-asked replacement policy. I truly appreciate a company who not only makes great products, but who maintains an even greater warranty program. For a guy who doesn't always make the greatest of choices and by no fault of the product itself has managed to destroy one or two, Otterbox was more than pleased to send replacements with no hassle of returning the old one even. That alone is worth the higher price tag these may carry, especially compared to those TPU cases all over the internet, but the fact that it has saved me from no less than 8 would-be phone replacement incidents I can't say THANK YOU enough to these guys.

In classic otterbox fashion the symmetry case is very protective without adding a whole lot of bulk. It has a decent lip going around the screen to protect it from drops on a flat surface and on the opposite side the camera lens/housing is recessed so its also protected from drops or when placing the phone down. The case is one solid piece and the phone simply pops into place. It fits snug but isn't hard to get out. The buttons are easy to push and are slightly raised so you can feel them if for some reason you can't see them. The holes for the speakers are perfectly aligned and the hole for the charging port is a good size so any size plug will be able to fit inside it. I've only used one screen protector with it but it is compatible. The case also works with all my wireless chargers and works when using Google Pay. My only complaint, albeit a small complaint, is the case is a little slick. Its never slid out of my hands but it can slide around if you were to say, place the phone face up on your dash while driving around. However, the smoothness does have a plus side, it makes it easy to slide in and out of your pocket.

I live in a hot climate and a previous case I owned started leaving residue on my hands whenever my hands were sweaty from being outside. I think it was cheap plastic/rubber wearing off. My hands looked like I had been doing mechanic work! So my search for a better quality case brought me here.I was hesitant to purchase this case, because of the high price for a cellphone case. After owning it now I don't regret it and would buy it again! This is a high-quality case; the back of the case is hard plastic with a matte finish and the sides including lip protection have like a softer feel probably to reduce impact from a drop, etc. It is all molded as one piece. Very unique case. This case also feels more sanitary, you don't see your fingerprints all over the case, and the plastic doesn't wear off! This case has a rugged feel to it and does it with style. I love the unique citrus/lemon color and complements my black Pixel 4 XL. It is not a glowing yellow and more like a muted color. Just beautiful! This is also one of the few cases that I have owned that doesn't interfere with the navigation gestures. It's a very refined case. This case offers excellent protection without the bulk and has great lip protection for the screen! Highly recommend it!

This case looks and feels just as expected from OtterBox.The case has already protected my phone from some short drops and shows no damage, nor was my phone damaged.It slides into and out of my pockets easily, and does not present and overly bulky appearance; conversely, it is difficult to prop-up horizontally.The case supports wireless charging from the pixel stand, as well as other wireless charging pads. I've had no difficulties at all.Suggested changes include a plug or cover for the USB-C port, and a larger radius on the bottom microphone ports. Additionally, I wish there was a bundle option for the Al glass protector, which I purchased from their website and am very happy with after 3 months of farm use (lots of fine quartz and clay dust, with associated potential for scratching)I wish the bottom speaker ports were radiused more because my pinky supports the phone, and the edges of these ports are slightly uncomfortable. I still intend to replace this case with the same, if this one becomes damaged or worn out.Overall, I'm pleased with my decision to continue using OtterBox products after transitioning from their slim case on a 2014 Droid Turbo

Well, the rubber beading broke. The warranty page doesn't list the pixel 4xl either when trying to apply for a warranty replacement. So yeah. I invested in this and feel let down.

This has to be the best case I have had for my Google Pixel 4 XL. It’s lightweight, think and easy to fit whilst offering excellent protection on the phone.Have tried many cases over the last year and even had the official Google ones but this beats it hands down.
