Perfect fit!

My new filters arrived last night and I used for the first time this morning. Even before I opened the packet, I could see they were considerably better than the mesh my cafeterie had come with. After a quick wash in boiling water, I attached one to my plunger and could feel the difference even in the empty jug - the fit around the edge was more snug.I made my coffee and could really taste the improvement - it felt 'pure' in my mouth and there were no bits at all. There was a tiny bit of the dark stuff at the bottom of the cup but a quick swirl into the last of the dregs and all was good. For the first time ever with this cafetiere, I drained my cup.Great filter and I highly recommend them!

The stainless steel filter on my John Lewis 3-cup cafetière was ragged & needed replacing. JL are charging £5 for a single replacement but I got 2 for £5.99 so the value for money is great. They're a perfect fit and do the job nicely. My only gripe is that one teeny tiny bit of the mesh was sticking up and of course I managed to press my fingertip right on it - ouch. Used my fingernail to flatten it and have had no problems since.

Perfectly acceptable but no good for me as I was expecting 3 sizes and 2 in pack maybe I ordered the wrong item I don't know

So far so good after a month or two of frequent use.

I make myself a small pot of coffee every morning and have done so for years. I've never changed the filter. It gets washed with the pot and plunger. I didn't realise you could buy replacement filters.However I saw those and ordered them. What a difference. Coffee tastes better and no more sludge at the bottom of my cup. So I ordered larger ones too for my bigger cafetieres.
