Fiskars Easy Stamp Press

First and foremost- this thing is GINORMOUS. I knew the size of the stamping area, but was still surprised when I pulled it out of the package and saw the entire thing was the size of a sketchbook/school notebook. The press itself is huge.However, it does make stamping large stamps (especially those background stamps) much easier as it allows you to apply even pressure across the whole stamp and makes shifting of the stamp as you are pressing the stamp much less likely. However, there is a tiny bit of a learning curve for the press.It's also really great for stamping out words with multiple tiny letter stamps. The grid on the press makes it very easy to re-stamp- you simply line up the paper with the grid lines and then re-positioning to stamp over something two or three times becomes much easier.I think the MISTI tool is still probably the best stamping press/tool on the market, but for forty dollars less, I think the Fiskars press is a bargain, and worth a spot on your shelf. I just would advise getting the smaller one if you use a lot of "normal" sized stamps- these guys are really much larger than you think looking at the photos and reading the dimensions.

I thought I was buying a folder, I did not read the description accurately. As it is, it works the way it is supposed to work. Stamps stick well. It is easy to line your stamp on top of your paper to have it positioned exactly where you want it to be.

Yay! I am very happy with this. When it came in the mail, I was pretty surprised of the size...it is quit big. But this has helped me tremendously with stamping and card making. I'd say you wouldn't use this for just stamping your planner, but if you were making a card or something big, this is so perfect. The measurements are very helpful, and the foams in the corner help you get a really good impression from your stamps! I really do love the price too, totally worth it! If you're a huge craft person definitely get this for your collection!

It may be that I'm not using it as intended and this may get better with time and experience. It's a simple idea, and should work fine once I get the "hang" of it.What won't get better however, is the fact that the first time I replaced the plate to save the layout I had in place, one of the small plastic feet popped off. These are pretty important to proper placement. I had purchased two extra plates so I can still operate the press but having the foot pop off so easily would possibly indicate a design flaw and it would be nice if replacement parts were available.

I purchased this on the recommendation of a fellow cardmaker. It being a Fiskas product I was expecting it to perform well. It was a complete and utter waste of money and a huge disappointment. No matter how much I tried the stamped image would not come out crisp or complete. I ended up purchasing a yescutting Stamping platform and it works wonderfully. It cost me $20 more than the $20 for the Friskas so I wasted $20 I could have used towards any other higher quality Stamping Platform. You live and you learn....

Excellent alignment tool for my stamps. Ink smears wipe off beautifully and I get crisp, clear, and precisely placed impressions every time. I already purchased the large stamp press for my background stamps, so this is coming in handy with the smaller stamps. It also has a removable acrylic plate underneath that comes in handy to use for an extra acrylic block or ink pallet. Love both sizes and highly recommend them.

Don;t waste your money!I bought this as it looked like a much more affordable version of a Misti. WOW what a disappointment. The 4 tiny clear plastic pieces that hold the plate fell apart on unboxing. Now I cannot get it back together to save my life. No matter which way I turn it, it just falls apart! I cannot recommend this product at all!Even if it DID work, having to buy additional "plates" for every layout you commonly use would cost a fortune, if they could even be found. So far I cannot find where to buy new plates of this size without purchasing an entire new unit.

This product works very well, better than some others on the market that has the sponge "legs". The sponges are just soft enough for you to stamp without too much resist , allowing for an accurate stamping position. This product works well with Stamp-A-Ma-Jig for positioning as well. Just line it up and position your stamp/s, ink and stamp away.The only thing you have to watch out for is the sponge legs. They can get in the way sometimes, so be careful, have enough clearance and you'll do just fine!However, there are parts that holds the acrylic plates can come loose. You have to check and make sure they do not come loose from time to time. Unlike the smaller size they product, that is a 1-piece acrylic.
