I use this for rolling my own prints for NFA items. Frankly, I think I do a lot better with this than the local LEOs could do taking my prints for an NFA item. I haven't gotten anything back yet, so here is to hoping they work well. I found my prints to be clear that I did myself.

Bought these for my forensic class. Works well and lasted through the semester. Only drawback is that the ink is not evenly distributed when first opened and has to be manually spread. Other than that, it's ok.

actually worked really well. took a couple of tries to figure out how much pressure to use to get the right amount of ink, but once figured out it was perfect time and time again. I threw it out after using it but there was still tons of ink left after about a months worth of use.

I've ordered two of these pads and the quality is the same between them. If you need to take impressions for FBI fingerprint cards, be sure to press *very* hard when inking up your fingers. I've found that flipping the pad over seems to help with getting enough dark ink on your fingers.

The ink has no consistency and won't make an imprint on fingerprint cards. Waste of money.

Lid did not close well. Leaked during delivery process. Return process was difficult, so kept the product. Lid definitely did not close, so ink dried out quickly. Hoped this less expensive product would work, but will have to go to more expensive product to up quality of case. Good luck.

If you roll prints and need a print of all four fingers, this is a good size. It is not much bigger than the window of a regular size fingerprint card holder, so it also helps give the practice feel before you have the prints placed on the card.

We used this for sending in paper fingerprint cards to do background checks on employees. It works well, just a little hard to clean up after use.
