Garmin Edge 25 Cadence Bundle

for the longest time, I put off buying a dedicated GPS because they were just so expensive. I'm glad I did, because this little guy rocks!i'm a road biker, and normally ride between 20 and 40 miles, this works great for this. I use it with the cadence sensor it came with and my wahoo ticker HR monitor. it all works great. I can normally get 2-3 bike rides off one charge.personally, I got this to conserve battery life on my phone. I was worried it would go dead mid ride, and I'd have no way to call for help.ProsBattery life--is good, however if you ride 100 miles +, this is not the gps for you, although if you are that serious, you would not buy this to begin with.Size--the devise is really small, and really light.Garmin connect--the app is good, it gives you a lot of info, and connects great with strava and most other biking/running apps.conssync time--- I know this is a bit nit picky, but it seams like it takes the GPS a really long time to sync with your phone.other sensors---I wish the edge 25 worked with more of garmins ANT+ sensors, like the temperature, and power sensors.

I like that it is small and light, great little unit paired up with my phone and Strava account without any trouble. Came with 2 mounts so I can setup 2 bikes for use, cadence sensor was easy to attach and the unit recognized it right away. Easy and functional bike cpu. Probably wouldn’t recommend for someone who has problems reading small numbers. For me this was a non issue and find the unit to be exactly what I needed to track speed, avg speed, distance, elevation gain, cadence, time, really like the beep you can setup on the lap function to switch positions every mile when group riding.

Love this powerful, yet small, bike computer - I wanted a new bike computer with GPS though not one of the huge, powerful, new one with all the bells & whistles. This one, even smaller than my old bike computer, has all the functions I wanted - speed, cadence, distance, heart rate - plus altitude/total ascent. It even provides the ability to upload "breadcrumb" maps that provide turn/course information as you go. The only, minor, problem I had with this bundle was getting the cadence function working. There is really not enough guidance provided by the Garmin website or any related blogs. Finally, I opened up the cadence sensor to possibly change the battery, and eventually noticed that there was a white sticker on the thin, delicate metal contact in which the battery sits. Removing the sticker without destroying the metal contact frame was dicey. Once it was removed & the battery installed, the cadence sensor - which is activated by motion - works fine. However, none of this is really spelled out in the Garmin manual.

This is exactly what I needed. Not too fancy but more information than I had with my Cat Eye computer. It's made me start wearing my HRM and that's been helpful w/ seeing effort and how many calories I burn with each bike ride. No issues at all with keeping a charge for 2 or 3 days of riding

Tried twice and cadence sensor will not stay awake or pair with Garmin 25. Read multiple support articles knowing this was a documented risk on prior reviews. Per support updated the device firmware and changed the battery on the sensor. Sensor blinks 5 times then won't wake up and will not pair with device. I only bought this to track distance and cadence on indoor rides so this was a complete fail for me. Don't waste your money or time. Sad because this is basic functionality that should be available on a low end device which is still pretty expensive.

Not impressed with this device. It does not give average speed, the way it cycles through the screens is really annoying. I could not get the cadence meter to work. Definitely not worth the cost

This is great I ride my bike to work and back any chance I can and recreationally. This thing is really nice for all my needs. Let's me see my speed, cadence, and HR when connected to the appropriate sensors. I use my Vivosmart HR to broadcast my HR to the Edge and it works flawlessly. Syncing is no problem I normally have my phone with and by the time I'm off the bike it's saved and uploaded to Garmin and Strava.UPDATE 1-27-17Started using this on my stationary in conjunction with the cadence sensor and the Vivosmart HR. This has performed well in this manner as well. Simply select indoor as your ride time and this turns off the GPS giving longer battery life. Indoors it will not track speed or distance as you are not traveling anywhere these numbers would be "make believe" anyway but it keeps track of your heart rate, cadence, time, and calories burned. Which is all I wanted it to do.

Worked for one ride. After that, never again and I did everything.. Changed batteries, called Garmin.. Always always another gd thing I should do to make it work.. Come on.. This is BS!!! Such simple technology should not be this unreliable.

entreno 3 o 4 veces por semana ciclismo de montaña, la bateria me sirve para unas 3 entrenadas de 2-3 horas, para el maraton largo de 4 horas el fin de semana lo vuelvo a cargar.Se sincroniza perfecto con strava automáticamente por bluetooth a tu telefono, es muy practico, contra el agua y ya incluye el montaje para el volante de tu bici. excelente dispositivo. Puedes llevarte el puro garmin para entrenar y sincronizar ya en tu casa si no quieres llevar tu teléfono a la rodada.

Awesome little cycling computer, definitely worth getting the cadence sensor bundle! Plus, if you have a Garmin fitness watch (I have a vivoactive 3) it can act as a heart rate moniter for the Edge 25, which is pretty cool + cost effective.
