Fast Orange 23122 Smooth Lotion Hand Cleaner - 15 oz

It is interesting that Amazon brought up my old review of 23116, 15 fl. oz bottles which are no longer available from the manufacturer. But oh well, I hope AMAZON will let me make a consolidated review of all of the Permatex Fast Orange Smooth Lotion products I have purchased from them over the past few years/ This Fast Orange cleaner is the greatest for the purposes I use it for. If you are often up to your elbows in heavy bearing grease then you may want to get the Fast Orange with Pumice. But if you are working around the house and trying to clean up your hands or other parts of your body after using oil, light grease or solvents, this is all you need. You don't have to use it with soap and water if you just need an interim clean-up (it is a waterless cleaner). You just need some paper towels or cloth rags to wipe if off if you do not have water available.. But I do use soap and water for my final clean-up after using this cleaner if possible. I’ve used this type of cleaner since June 1968 when I started working in a power plant as mechanical grunt college intern. But this Fast Orange seems to be more stabilized during hot weather.. You can find many other things to clean using this product. I have found that I can clean the occasional undershorts skid-mark with only a little effort with a toothbrush and no water except as a final rinse. Just saying. And you know what mom always said about what to wear when you out go out. I keep a 7.5 oz bottle of this WITH a roll of paper towels in the trunk of both of my cars to clean up after changing a tire or other ways of getting dirty before getting back in the car. Works wonders! You can actually use it to clean oily, greasy gunk off of small things if you have to. I had used this cleaner years before I found it on Amazon. I bought two of item 23116, 15 fl. oz. bottles, on Amazon to put on the workbench and under the kitchen sink. Later when I went to order more of the 15 fl. oz bottles they were not available so I bought 23108, 7.5 fl. oz. bottles, to put under the main bathroom sink and in the trunk of both cars my wife and I own. I also bought two 23122, 15 fl. oz. Rocker Cap bottles to refill the 7.5 fl. oz. bottles. Because of the rocker cap it was difficult to get the thick cleaner down to the bottom of the container by wacking the container on the counter to drive the cleaner down to the bottom without opening the rocker cap and sending cleaner all over the place. What a real (non-Trumpian) disaster. I finally cut the bottom of these bottles off and used a spatula (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000RYSPMY) to move cleaner to the 7.5 fl. oz. bottles. Several months later I bought a 23218, 1 gallon jug with a pump to refill the various 7.5 and 15 fl. oz bottles as needed. The price per fl. oz. is a lot less if you buy the gallon jug instead of the 7.5 fl. oz. bottles and you can use this product in in the smaller bottles in the multiple locations I listed and often.

Cleans greasy hands without scratching. Same cleaning solution but does not contain the abrasive pumice as the version sold in most hardware stores and home centers sell. The pumice version would leave my hands raw, when used several times per day. I prefer to use a soft brush to remove any deeply embedded dirt or grease. This smooth version can still dry out your skin, by removing natural oils, so following with hand lotion is a good idea.

Works well. I got the smooth version. It works good enough for dirt and oil. The only thing I don't like about it is the smell (It smells like oranges and yes I know it's called Fast Orange) but I'd prefer another scent (maybe Hoppes 9 or leather scented or something). Maybe someone will read this and make a new product...

Every home needs a bottle of this in the MUD ROOM. Makes quick work of cleaning dirty hands ....

I am always in the garage working on cars & I go through gallons of this every year. Currently have 3 gallons of supply because it works the best & actually smells good too. Just do it!

Most hand cleaners nowadays are infused with pumice grit for cleaning grime. But, that grit can get into parts and damage them. This smooth - meaning "no pumice" - cleaner is perfect. No additional rinsing to get the grit off. Orange oil smells good while it dissolves dirt & grease. Flat squatty dispenser bottle design doesn't turn over easily either, a must on the jobsite.

As waterless hand cleaner goes this works well. I read several reviews that said this hand cleaner did not work as expected. I've been using waterless hand cleaners for over 40 years and they all need to be used WITHOUT WATER to start with. If you wet your hands with water first, it does not work well. I tried it on 30 min dried on water based paint and oil based paint and in about 2-3 min of working the cleaner it started melting the paint off. Even took off well dried on Black spray paint, but I did need to give it time to work. Grease and grime from car repair melts right off with this cleaner. I'll order more when this gallon runs out. I like the smooth instead of the 'grit' cleaner because the grit settles in the sink drain trap and I have had to clean it out a couple of times. With a high water flow this may not happen but in our shop sink the water spray is a little weak. I find the smooth is also easier to wipe off when no rinse water is available. Oh, one more thing. It is a grease and oil remover, yes it will dry out your hands. All waterless hand cleaners will dry your skin out to some extent. I have found "O'Keeffe's Working Hands" cream is great at combating the dryness.

Excelente producto probé varias marcar pero este si que limpia y lo mejor es que no reseca como otras marcas la recomiendo, uso mucho aceite automotris y grasas para baleros así como tintas de sublimar, aceites con tierra cuando desarmas piezas de suspensión y si que limpia muy bien

Was disappointed in the cleaner, heavy greasy stained and oily hands , did not clean well , even using big glug of the soap. I don't think I would buy again.

This stuff is great - you don't need skin-drying/flammable solvents at all if you use this to clean your hands/arms/legs after working with grease/oil/paint/stain - pretty much anything. The finely ground pumice stone combined with whatever else they put in this cream quickly remove everything I have encountered from the skin. A good nail brush is needed to clean under finger nails, but that is the same for any cleaning agent (even my face :) - but I wouldn't recommend getting it anywhere near your eyes). I would have liked to try the new pop bottom bottle shown in the Amazon description, but instead I was sent the standard top squeeze bottle, which works fine, you just have to tap down the cream when the bottle nears empty so it can be squeezed out. It seems like the pop bottom is a better design ... maybe they'll send me that one next time :) !

D'un je voulais un savon capable de nettoyer en profondeur et surtout sans aucun solvant pétrolier ! celui-ci fonctionne très bien, pas besoin d'eau, juste bien frotter laisser fonde la crasse et rincer à la toute fin, j'aime bien aussi l'odeur d'agrume… à noter cette version est plus smoothe et sans pierre ponce pour moi c'est un plus car j'ai la peau sensible. Je reviens que je ne voulais pas de produit chimique dans mon savon, c'est parfait avec celui-ci même avec des coupures aux mains, je m'ai aucune sensation de piqure ou brulure. Après une rude journée aux champs il nettoie tout en douceur 5 Étoiles ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
