Using ispring dual stage set up. would 2 of these filters work best to remove chlorine from municipal water? the water is clean but chemical laden.

Thanks for your interest in the iSpring whole-house water filter. Knocks out cloudiness as well as bad tastes and odors remove up to 99% of chlorine, and is effective on herbicides and industrial solvents, and other contaminants like trihalomethanes. Steady flow and high absorption. Filters up to 50,000 gallons depending on the use and feed water quality. Replace the filter every 6 months or every 50,000 gallons of water for ideal performance, depending on the quality of source water and daily water consumption. Do you have to rinse/flush the carbon filter before installing it in the whole house system? If yes, what’s the way to do so? Thank you

Hi TC, You can flush the filter after installation. Just open the nearest tap and let it run until the water is clear or when all the carbon residue is out. Please reach out to our customer service team for additional questions. We're always ready to help. iSpring Water Systems, LLC

Thank you for your question! The size of the filter is 4.5 inch (diameter) x 10 inch (length). Best, iSpring Water Systems LLC

is there a catalyitic carbon filter avaiable to remove chloramines?

Chloramine is removed from water with essentially the same strategies that are used to remove chlorine. This means that carbon filtration is the best removal method and filter carbon does indeed remove chloramine. The problem is that it takes more carbon and more contact time to do the job. In practical terms this means that if your City disinfects your tap water with chloramines you'll need to get a larger and better carbon filter than you would need if chlorine alone were used. All our products use activated carbon so are capable of removing chloramine.

Muy útil y recomendable

La única crítica que tengo, es que es caro. Deberían haber paquetes que permitan abaratar sustancialmente el producto.
