Tougher than the seat of John Waynes saddle and twice as fun.
I love this thing. I have flown it almost every day since I got it. I keep it at work and play with it in our warehouse at breaks an lunch. It is durable to say the least. I have hit racks, beams, forklifts, light fixtures, garage doors and the concrete floors more times than I can count while learning to fly and testing my skills. I have even hung it on the racks by the blades getting trapped in the grates. I have yet to replace a single blade or damage it that I know of. It just keeps on flying.I get 6-7 minutes of flight time out of both of the batteries that came with it, and they recharge in about an hour and half. The video quality is decent and the pictures it takes are clear enough. The camera prefers to have plenty of light for better quality pictures. The camera is in a fixed position which is at a decent angle, but I would like if it were adjustable at least a little bit, but not a big deal.it is easy to learn and fly and the remote is comfortable to hold and operate. The automatic flip tricks are fun too, but more of a novelty than a feature. The trim controls are great and headless mode is functional, but I prefer the normal flight method. For the $90 I paid for it, with 2 batteries and the upgraded memory card, I can't be happier. I did a lot of research before buying this lil guy and I believe that in this price range it can not be beat.If I can find a fault, I'll update my review, but this thing is cheap(ish), fun and durable. What more could a novice want?

Would not fly straight or follow the controls
I've used a variety of drones. I was excited to explore this new one. Unfortunately, I could not get it to hover or travel left and right on a continuous basis. I re-calibrated it, several times, according to the directions. On. it's second to last run, it would not travel forward. It was like there was a giant wind in front of it. Regardless of how hard I pushed the control forward, that is when it decided to hover in place. On the final run (of about 10), it shot high into the sky, like a rocket above some mighty oak trees. I attempted to maneuver it left and right above the trees. It decided to lower itself and now resting peacefully high above any ladder could reach it in a neighbors yard. Perhaps. a strong. wind will bring it down, but it's probably ruined from the rain. Someone suggested a bucket truck, but for the price I paid, I could buy several more of these vs the cost of the truck. But I will not buy this one again. I spend my money on a different drone that has better instructions and can hover easily out of the box.I do greatly appreciate the two batteries that came with it. That's always a problem that just as you are having some fun, the battery dies. I was able to change them out quickly. The few photos and videos I got were terrific, so the. camera works well. But again, not worth using this one due to the poor steering.I should add that the remote has tons of buttons and knobs that could possibly have been used to correct or tune out the problems I experienced. But there were no directions for them, so they are in essence, useless.

An excellent beginners drone
An excellent beginners drone. It's large enough to use outside and sturdy enough to withstand many bad landings and collisions thanks to its light weight and plastic cage. It's very bare bones, with almost no avionics. Holding altitude requires the pilots skill. There is a return to home functionality, but I couldn't seem to get it to work right. The camera is serviceable, but nothing special.Flying it on the other hand, is a joy. It swoops and spins by your command. RC control reaches far enough that you have difficulty seeing its maneuvers before you get out of range. Unlike smaller indoor drones it can fly in light winds, heavy winds will still blow it around and going over the tree line will often have you encounter unexpected winds up there. The one real downside is that the large plastic cage catches the wind and causes air resistance when moving quickly. There are other drones that just protect the corners. If you're a beginner the extra protection will help, but intermediate fliers don't need it. I eventually cut the protective cage off with a pair of garden shears to make it more maneuverable but if it hadn't been there when I bought it, I would have broken the drone by now.All in all, this is the best outdoor drone for beginners available for $50 when I bought it. It's fun to fly, durable, and cheap enough to learn to do fancy maneuvers. I would recommend it to get the kids outdoors.

Great priced drone with a slew of features that leads to it being fun to fly
It's a fun drone to fly. This is my second U818A, the first one broke a strut after about 13 months (crash landed too many times!) It was cheaper to get a new one versus all the parts, plus the new one has an HD camera and headless flight. The Good - it's pretty easy to get the hang of it, it's slower than some of the other smaller ones, which helps in learning controls. The thing is pretty durable. At the end of the life span for my last one, it had crashed multiple times into the road from 50+ feet. It ended up on roofs, trees, back yards, etc. (thank god it doesn't have a black box!). The Camera is pretty good, and unlike my other drones, you can take pictures or start the video recording from the controller pretty easy. The Headless flight is a nice feature - use it about 50% of the time - basically the drone "figures" out where you are standing, and you push the direction you want it fly relative to you versus having to know which way is forward on the drone. The price! The features are great for the price. The Bad - The design size, speed, and aerodynamics do not help in wind though - you need it fairly calm to fly high. The return to home feature is fairly useless if it's not dead calm. It will land +/- 40' from take off point - pretty big range. Again - this is a fairly inexpensive drone, so don't expect a Phantom III.Bottom line - it's FUN!

Good price and fun to play
Pretty good for the price. Just getting to play with this and seems OK so far!I've done a few hard landings and also managed this to get stuck on a tree and this thing is holding up!

Perfect
Puntuale e tutto quanto il resto, ottimo prodotto eccetto UN solo problema. Non c'è il power bank nella confezione. Senza si può vivere lo stesso e in ogni caso il prezzo è abbastanza vantaggioso

Very upset , not worth buying
Very terrible product, the plastic for the engine was completely broken and caused engine failure, which caused me to not fly it one little bit I was very upset when this happend we attempted to fix it and the plastic for the engine snapped right off with one little touch , I recommend visitors go buy another product unless you want one that is broken and remain broken!

Good for the price!
A durable drone, perfect for beginners. Terrible battery life, especially while cold, so make sure to buy and charge multiple batteries! I get less than five minutes with each charge.
