These are awesome! I've tried paint pens in the past and I've been disappointed. With most, you end up pumping the pens for an hour before they work, and you can't get a fine line. I often find colors limited, as well. But this set is different.All I had to do to start these pens working was to shake them and press down with the tip repeatedly, to create a pumping motion that helps the paint to reach the tip. It took about 10 seconds, with each of these pens. And once they are working, they create a beautiful, fine line that allows be to use them for detail work.I am also really impressed with the color variety. I wasn't overly optimistic that there would be 30 unique colors in the box, but there are. I am especially impressed with the metallic colors (I just love metallics!). They're all bold and bright.The pens are packaged in a nice looking box that I think will hold up well enough to use it for storage. Art supply storage is always an issue for me (my kitchen doubles as a studio), and I always appreciate when I don't have to find a new container to store supplies.I genuinely can't find a drawback with these. That's rare for me, but there's nothing that could make me happier about this purchase. I bought these to use on my resin pieces, and I'm so glad I did! They have already simplified the painting process for me. I was especially excited to see that this lasting stays where I put it (paint has a tendancy to move around on resin, ending up with bare spots and dark spots that I'm always fighting to even out). The colors I have tried so far are beautiful. I think I'll be using these pens until they run out, and then buying a new set to replace them. They've already become a necessary supply, in my mind.

These paint pens are perfect for so many applications! My daughter is using them for her drawing and painting, my son is using them for customizing his LEGO minifigs, and all of us are using them to paint our rocks to leave all over our community. They are easy to use, don't stink, virtually mess-free. They're really nice quality, with bright, vivid colors. I love that the set comes with an extra black and white pen, as those colors tend to get used up so fast. So, all in all, 28 colors for all your painting needs. They are also more portable and nicer to take on trips, unlike traditional paint pots or tubes and brushes. Definitely recommend.*I received these paint pens in exchange for an honest review.*

I wanted to give these 5***** stars but unfortunately the orange and the olive green pens, do not work and I suspect are either physically defective in some way or are almost dried out. The paint does not flow despite a lot of time spent shaking and pumping.... All of the other pens in the pack have so far worked AND flowed GREAT!!! I would probably buy again with the hope that the two that aren't working in this package are just a glitch. Recommended for fine details in your drawing and painting. There is a nice variety of colours and are bright as well as dry quickly. I actually really like them- they are a nice amount of pens for a good price. They are a nice started fine point set for beginners.

These paint pens are great to work with. They apply smooth to pretty much any surface you apply them to and still manage to dry relatively fast. As long as your surface is dry, you should definitely be able to apply these markers to them. It takes a little bit of work to get the paint flowing at first, but once you get the colors to the tops of the markers, you're set. The caps snap into the barrel tightly and there is no blobbing or streaking during use.

I have previously used Posca pens and have been very happy with them but they come in smaller sets and there aren't as many colors to choose from. These are good and I like all the colors but they don't last as long as a Posca pen.

love love love these paint markers. I'm new to them but I appreciate how they finish off a painting with the ability to provide detail that a brush can't always accomplish. And they could do an entire piece of work or art with no help from traditional paints. They actually paint---for instance, white will cover a dark marker's marks because it's paint! Wonderful!Also, these quickly become permanent and can have a varnish or other finish coat in a few minutes. I do have a few seconds to wipe out anything I don't like with water and a Q-tip or paper towel. This is a huge asset! Mistakes can be erased! I now have these in 3 different sizes...love them.

I used these on glass, paper, ceramic and coated paper. They work well. Shake them repeatedly. Test on a scrap of paper. I did find one that was dried up no matter how much I shook it.Price good though. Colors are great. Let dry before painting over another.

I was skeptical in those pens can write on all surfaces. But it is true, I write on my desk and the wall and it’s stick right away, not even blurred or stained. I was buying just decorate my notebook, but now I actually can decorate everything else. The color is fast to dry and have many color to choose. To be a person who loves calligraphy, those markers make me satisfied
