Youngtown 12888 Clock Movement 15/32" Thread Battery Operated Replacement

What a great replacement! I bought this clock from a thrift store years ago and I really like it. It had a leaked battery in it when I bought it but after a cleanup it worked fine for a few years. Out of nowhere it stopped keeping time. An hour here, two hours there. I couldn't bring myself to throw it in the trash. Thats where this clock kit comes in! It has everything you need, including hands for three different sized clock faces and is super easy to replace! Its been a week and its keeping perfect time.

It was easy to replace the mechanism on my broken outdoor clock. Instructions were clear and it works! Beats buying a new $80 clock! Very happy with this purchase.

Received as ordered. Works well. Took longer than expected.

Worked great. Had a clock that Iiked that had stopped working. It only took a few minutes utes to change out the parts.

Fit my kitchen wall clock perfectly

Worked perfectly for my clock ,these were replacement part ,I had left my clock on top of the air fryer and didnt realize it melted the parts in the back for the hands to move and so had to replace it,iam very happy it worked.

Our very old custom made wall clock movement was getting annoyingly LOUD! My search for a replacement battery clock movement found this one. The pro: + Okay price of $9.38 with free Amazon shipping! + Okay customer product reviews, but make sure you look at the "one star" reviews! + The clock movement is quiet, makes little noise. The cons: - The biggie... NO second hand! I'd assumed these all came with one! :( - The provided gold clock hands are "butt ugly"! They look more like tarnished brass, flat, not shiny gold color! - The thread shaft is pretty narrow, luckily, I was able to use plastic tubing to make it wider to fit the existing clock movement mounting hole. Closing remarks: ▪ Luckily we were able to reuse the shiny gold hands from the old clock movement! They fit perfectly, to my surprise, or I would have returned this clock movement! :) ▪ No second hand, but we figured it wasn't needed on this clock. ▪ I decided to gave this review 3 out of 5, instead of "1", since it did restore the operation of our kitchen wall clock.

My sister and I had gone thrift shopping and came across this large,beautiful wall clock, but it was not working, even though there was a battery in it. The clock was very dusty, so we figured it probably just needed a new battery and some clean up. After brining it home and changing out the battery, it still did not work, so I thought I would open up the battery box and dust it off. But I had no idea that the gears in the battery compartment are very loose and you have to have an excellent memory or take a picture of how the gears are placed, but, that did not matter because as I was trying to see how it was all put together, I dropped the box and there was no way to put it back together. So I ordered this part and was amazed how easy it was to install it. I am glad I ordered the one that comes with the clock hands because the minute hand from the clock did not fit the new gear, so I used a pair of hands included with the part. I am super excited about this because now that I know how to do this, I can buy a non-working clock knowing I can fix it.

Tried bringing my wall clock into a watch repair shop but they didn’t want to handle it, so I decided to try and repair it myself. Amazon had a great selection of different clock mechanisms, so picking the right one was easy. Would definitely do this again.

Delivery was fine and items supplied looked good, easy to install. Worked perfectly for a few days then died completely, changing battery made no difference.
