Surprisingly good
After Magic of Tidying and Spark Joy I thought I had all the Marie Kondo I would ever need (especially after listening to both on audiobooks and watching her Netflix series and a bunch of youtube videos). But... I was wrong. While this is not as comprehensive and some might dismiss it as too light and generic, if like me you find this entire subject (office management) boring, tedious, and headache-inducing, this might just be the ONLY book on the subject you need. It's a light, fast read, inspirational, and can help you to prioritize and get motivated and inspired. This is a feel-good book with simple suggestions you can put into use immediately. Yes, many of them are obvious, but as Dave Ramsey would say, "It's 80% motivation, 20% head knowledge".If like me you just need some motivation and to feel more positive about work, this is the ticket. Well worth purchase.I can't believe it but every book I've started to read by Marie Kondo so far is a must-read, must-reread for me. Life Changing Magic is one of the most important books in the last 100 years, but the others are merely "essential" instead of "most important books ever written" caliber. If you found Life-changing Magic beneficial and work in an office, read this book as soon as you can.

Two great minds together in a very insightful book
After reading Marie Kondo's and Scott Sonenshein's previous work and being a big fan of them, I really looked forward to this book, preordered it long ago and read it as soon as it came out.Brilliant book, once again, lots of useful insights, very practical insights and backed up by solid academic research. The way we think and behave, make decisions, are creative or related to others more broadly has lots of to do with how we set up our environment for success, whether it is our physical environment or our digital one. There are many interesting take aways from this book, and I particularly like the ones related to decision making, meetings and teams. We spend so much time making decisions and relating with other at work and this book has clear points to make you a better decision maker and team player, empowering others while focusing your time on the high stake decisions that often scare us and stop us from thinking clearly.Thank you Marie and Scott!

Time to spark joy for someone else...
So, I started googling organization tips and of course books by Marie Kondo came up. I actually purchased her second book first and (just like good marketing) the suggestion to read the first book first came up right away. I went ahead and ordered Marie's other two books (1 and 3) and began quickly reading this one. I was in love with book 2 so I wanted to get back to it quick.Anywho, anyone who knows anything about Marie Kondo knows what's in this book. The meat of her process is very available outside of this book. Book two on the other hand has more information that I'd never seen or heard and that I could use right away.I still enjoyed the read but I don't need to keep this book after reading it. It sparked joy for me initially and the info is great but I'll be passing this on now.

Easy and enjoyable read
The book came in perfect condition. I am a fan of Marie Kondo's shows on organizing and wanted to see ow her methods translate to a professional life. I read this book with my mentee to help with organizing her work space and to develop methods of organizing her daily tasks and digital files. We both enjoyed reading it and both authors had interesting topics.

Easy read lots of simple ideas for organizing your personal and professional life
Great quick read for tip and tricks to organize your professional life to make way for a better personal life.I think a consistent struggle is how do we succeed at work and at home. This gives a lot of simple ideas and presented in a more realistic way with life experiences. I think a lot seemed common sense but I wasn't doing them so it's a great reminder. One take a way for me was I thought I was doing a great job by answering everything the minute it comes in but realized that might actually be taking away from my overall goal.Pros: Super easy read, real life stories, interesting and a lot of good take aways.Cons: It's not the be all end all, not a quick fix you will have to put in the work.Highly recommend reading for some good tips.

A perfect continuation of "Tidying Up"
Although this book stands alone, I recommend reading it after Marie's "Tidying Up" book. It expands on familiar strategies without being repetitive. It also mentions tactics (familiar to those who have read Tim Ferris' 4 Hour Work Week) like the 80/20 rule and email batching.WHAT IF I WORK FROM HOME? This book addresses how to handle working from home. Separation of home and work is key, even if just mentally. The lessons contained in this book apply to more than just work though. It really helps tackle finer subjects such as Social Media, Computer storage, Phone Apps and more.Joy at Work focuses much more on internal mind clutter, which is just as important as physical clutter. I highly recommend this new book for anyone dealing with stress from work and wanting to gain more joy in their every day life.

Not As Much "New" Joy
It's a fairly quick but enjoyable read. You can skim much of it. There are very few new insights in Joy at Work. Most of the advice and recommendations have been published in many other self help/productivity books eg. Meeting management, saying No to protect your time, handling emails and etc.

Another helpful book
This is another helpful and insightful book by Ms. Kondo. I have a high stress job in death care. This book helped me to realize boundaries and how to prioritize. I was able to step back and really think about the elements of my profession that “Spark Joy.” When your in care giving industries such as health care, death care, hospice work etc. caring for oneself can fall to the wayside. This book helped open my eyes to that and hit a sort of “reset” button.
