Gamblin 1980 Oil Color Exclusive Set

Amazing paints! They dont change color much if any while drying and mix perfectly.

I just started oil painting and needed a quality basic set. This set is very nice and the box it comes in is also a primed board for painting on. Some of the paints are a little oilier than others, but i think that depends on the amount of pigment needed. The paint is very smooth and comes with a safflower oil medium as well. So far, I really like Gamblin. Highly recommend if you're looking for a good starter set.

I was worried about the shipping but it was packaged really well, the paint quality is perfect. It even comes with painting medium. I usually use linseed oil, but this works too. The smell is a little strong, and it takes about a week to dry. The colors are super pretty and easy to mix and blend. It works greats and I’d totally buy it again.

Works well, mixes nicely, good overall paint. Nice for wet on wet painting. Would definitely recommend.

This is a good value in terms of student quality paints. You can mix any color with this set very easily and the tune of medium is a nice touch. Out of the tube it’s a little pasty and thick. I purchased this for a project that called for oil paint and it has been curing for four weeks without issues. I’ll look toward gambling the next time I need oil paints, probably an artist quality next time.

These are good paints for canvas!

Working with these oils is fun - the paints are thick, so they can be thinned out quite a bit with Gamsol, so the value is there. Many complain about missing colors - everything is here to make any color imaginable - get a color chart and learn how to mix your colors! You'll have fun and learn to manage your palette with a limited set of base colors. The paint is smooth & refined, not your average student set of cheap paint here at all, this is the good stuff. I highly recommend this Gamblin set.

Love the presentation and very well packaged and came just in the right time! Haven’t use them yet but, knowing The brand I’m sure it’s very well quality. Happy customer and was a great price.
