Great Base Yarn for Craft Projects - Reliable and Easy to Work With
I bought the white to use as the base for all the flowers Iโm making for a hanging flower curtain, and it works perfectly. The yarn is sturdy, holds its shape well, and has just the right texture for both structure and softness. Itโs a generous size for the price, which makes it a great value - especially for larger projects or repeat use. The functionality is exactly what I needed: easy to work with, no excessive splitting, and it easy to manipulate. Red Heart offers a great variety of colors, but the white is especially versatile. A dependable choice for any crafter! You will get a lot of use from this purchase!

Nice quality - good amount
I use this for needle-felting, and it's been great! The color is nice and rich black, and the texture is very soft. This ball has lasted me a long time, so there's a good amount for the money.

Good wool for the $$$
I needle-felt and am pretty particular about the wool that I use. I needed a pale creamy yellow which I found in this roving (apricot white). The color was perfect for my current project (felted autumn gourds). This wool feels like merino, though the description doesn't name the wool, so it is probably a blend, and merino would cost more, I think. The fibers are long and silky, which is great for wet-felting, but less so for needle-felting. When I have fibers like this I find it helpful to pull off lots of small sections and spritz them with water and allow them to air dry . This makes the fibers kink up again and makes them much better for needle-felting. I require a smooth surface for my work and this helps a whole lot. I am giving this product 4 stars because there's higher quality roving more suitable for needle-felting on Amazon which I use a lot, so I'm comparing this wool to the best that I've found on the site. That said, the price difference makes this a good value in spite of the fact that I have to add the step of wetting the wool to achieve my desired result. I should also mention that this roving is very clean and almost free of debris, which is a big plus. I will likely purchase from this seller again if my color needs call for it...though I will be careful to consider all the reviews on color differences. Happy crafting!

Good wool for the price, will buy again
This is great wool, kinda. It came vacuum packed so flat that it is going to take some time to fluff back up. The flame test confirmed it is wool. Most of the roving was in one piece but there was another piece added I guess to make the correct weight. I didn't check the long piece of roving yet since it is still very flat but the added pieces had hard folds in it. I think it is just a compression problem.

Beautiful color and quality
I got this wool roving in green. It is a beautiful vibrant green, just as pictured. It seems to be a good quality and I enjoyed using it for my Christmas needle-felted projects. Just a warning, it comes vacuum-packed, so it's almost as flat as a sheet of cardstock. I didn't think there was any way it could be the 3.53 oz. advertised, but found out when weighing it, that it was exactly that.

Very nice wool!
The wool made this doll head, what else can I say? XD Actually I can say one thing: the wool comes in a silky form, very smooth and soft, softer than what I had seen before. So each time you pull some off, you'll want to agitate it between your palms a little to make it easier to cling to your sculpture. ;)
