Got delivered three days early. Assembly was a snap and I was not concerned about the weight (although it does weigh 20#) Since I have the umbrella post attached the the deck with a conduit clamp. I was worried about water getting down inside the tube and rusting so I added a plastic collar attached to the umbrella tube with zip ties–see photo. The plate you bolt the tube to is only spot welded and popped out from tube. Had to do some bending of tube bottom to keep in place. Still a weak point. DO NOT waste your money.

Its nice BUT The metal tube that sits on top where the umbrella is inserted will not straighten out, the plastic piece inbetween the base and tube is cheap plastic and wont stay in place when screwing the peices in together so thats a problem. so my umbrella is crooked when standing and the tube part is always lose because of that plastic piece. THROWING THIS HUNK O JUNK OUT

This looks nice and is sturdy. It was perfect for our half umbrella on our deck.

Yes it does exactly what I need it to do. It’s heavy, but needs to be.

This is a great base for my half umbrella. It fits flush against the house and is heavy enough to withstand strong wind (made it through a pretty tough storm)

was so excited about a 1/2 umbrella... this stand is heavy to keep it from blowing over... hole is a bigger than then our umbrella pole so we can't get a perfectly straight alignment... but happy with the product.

The stand is heavy enough but it would be wise to have a bolt or screw that goes all the way through as it only screws to the pole not into it so my umbrella sits at a slant.
