Excellent replacements and genuine upgrade over the original foam pads
Excellent replacements for my MDR's. The original pads were cracked and peeling (just like they used to at school tbh!), these arrived next day and was easily replaced in seconds. They're a bit bigger than the originals, covering your ears rather than sitting on them. Should help a bit with bleeding, and it's a comfortable fit. Overall they seem much more durable too, though that's a pretty low bar to clear compared to the Sony ones.

Good replacement cushions for Sony MDR-v6
I have a pair of Sony MDR-v6 that I love. Really good sound quality. When I was trying to determine whether there was any significant difference in sound quality between 320 kbps mp3 and lossless, it was only with these headphones and with certain tracks (e.g. Shostakovich String Quartet 12 mvt 2) that I was able to hear the difference. The ear cushion quality on the v6's is another matter. Woeful. After a few years they disintegrate. See the attached photos. These replacement cushions fitted easily and perfectly, and feel as comfortable as the originals. And as you'll see they look pretty good. They cost a bit more than I thought I'd need for a bit of cushioning, but this seems to be the going rate, and you have to put up with it. Cheaper than buying new headphones, and of course you can't get the v6's any more! Recommended.

Great quality cushions which bring bass through more
Very high quality and great value, easy to fit. They are comfortable and seem to provide good isolation. One thing to note is that they boost the bass to much higher levels than the stock cushions, which may or may not be desirable. In any case, recommended!

Very cozy. Trebles come through more, not a bad thing but worth noting
Very comfortable and a decent replacement when you're original headphones fall apart. Just be aware - the trebles come through more than the original pads. Retrain your ears if you're using them for late night recording!

Airweave Black
Cant comment on durability since Ive only just installed them recently but they are very comfortable, easy to install(2 minutes), and look great. I ordered the Airweave Black version, and I should note that although they look to be a grey colour in the photos on Amazon - in real life they are a deep black colour that matches the colour of the original ear pads on the Sony MDR 7506's.

Good replacements.
These are a little bit smaller than the original Sony ones, but fit well. I used a plastic spudger to get the plastic edge into the slot. Sound is OK.

Ottimi padiglioni

Big improvement over the stock pads
Using these makes me realize how poor the stock pads are. This is a an easy and cheap upgrade that makes a big difference.

Thought it was not necessary
Been a long time coming. I have been putting off replacing the pads on my MDR-7506. However since my usage of the headphones is more prolonged during the weekday, I found that the original torn padding on the headphones had to go.After a very simple installation of the pads, the first thing I did was to wear them to see if they would block out some external sounds as some reviews suggest. Can confirm that some background ambient noise can be omitted, however, performance is only enhanced when music is played through the headphones. However in saying so, when someone right behind you in a phone presentation, you are still able to hear a murmur, however, what they are saying is not so audible. The second test was comfort over a longer period of use whilst using glasses. I found that the foam works well in this test, as it doesn't collapse, keeping its shape, to prevent the speaker from being the part resting your on the ear. As the external material is rather slippery, it can move backwards, however, a simple readjustment will fix that.Overall, very happy with the product and would recommend if you would like to give some life back to old classic headphones.

These Pads Rock! The Cure For That Bad Case Of "Black Dandruff"!
Stumbled upon a 25 year-old pair of Sony 7506s I had forgotten about, and read all the positive reviews on these pads, so decided to give 'em a shot - and glad I did!Unlike so many third-party pads that are a struggle to secure, these really do fit perfectly, and I couldn't believe how easily they slipped on! Probably took less than 2 minutes a pad. Though it does take a smidgen of finesse - they practically put themselves on.However, the other side of the coin is they seem like they could also slip off fairly easy if accidentally tugged the wrong way. So would advise using a small-edged tool (like a small flathead screwdriver, or guitar pick), to help seat the elastic bands more securely in the pad grooves. (See photo).Anyway, though for years I've preferred the flat response of the Sennheiser HD-280's over these (for their non-colorizing and more accurate signal transfer), I'd say these pads are definitely worth the $23, as they brought these 2.5 decade old phones back to life!
