Great Sound, has Problems and ultimately FAILS!
Great sound for the price... if it only worked properly. After 2.5 weeks of enjoying the sound, it suddenly started being weird about the volume level, slowly getting quieter and when it is so low you can barely hear it, you press the volume Up button only to have the sound to boom at you, readjust, and repeat. Then the next day, the lights come on as normal but No Sound! Nothing I did helped. Finally, after considering returning it, I tried one last thing, a hard reboot by pulling the power cord for 30 seconds. That worked. I will update this review if I have any further problems.UPDATE: It stopped working 2 days ago, lights work, sound does not, and reboots did not change that. Return was still an option on my order but it was just past the normal Return Period. The company who sold it to me through Amazon, SpaceBound, was contacted and they refused to allow a return even though the above Review was written During the Return Period. If my experience with this Sound Stand were rare, they would have allowed the return or replacement of the product. But judging from the other Reviews, this is all to common with this product and Seller.P.S. Amazon for some reason will not allow me to give SpaceBound a bad review. Why?

Excellent Feature for $80+ Sound Bar/Stand
I purchased the Vizio SS2520-C6 Sound Stand a little over a month ago (August 2017), pretty much as a sound enhancer for our new Vizio 32" Smart TV, as well as a pedestal to raise the height of the TV (contained within our bedroom TV cabinet enclosure). The only size TV we've ever been able to fit into that console is 32", but we've never considered this to be a limitation for our daily TV viewing. So, I set the sound stage up without a problem using the Digital Optical input, and then tried it out on our Netflix show-of-the-moment, "Ozark".Well, it sounded great UNTIL it got to those "threatening" moments, when the heavy, low bass sound appears.MAJOR distortion...terribly vibrating the console area and making me wonder if I made a mistake in buying this sound stand!!At this point you're probably wondering, WHY THE 5-STAR REVIEW ??Well, please keep in mind that this was an $80+ purchase, designed to bypass the insufficient sound coming from the TV itself.Apparently, I didn't know that it couldn't handle the really low bass sound - however, every sound leading DOWN to that low bass sounded like a breath of fresh air! It was a complete improvement on the TV sound. However, it is SO important to understand that THIS SOUND STAND DOESN'T CONTAIN A SUBWOOFER !! (A fact I didn't consider upon purchase, as I was plainly ignorant about subwoofers!)(And), for $80+...SHOULD it contain a subwoofer ??? IMO, since subwoofers cost plenty, I'd say it shouldn't...so, this is worth the $80+ for what it DOES provide....nice clear sound..."down" to a point! So, this review could stop here....but, you may (again) be wondering, WHAT DID HE DO, SINCE HE NEEDS THAT LOW BASS??Long story short, 2 days ago after much research, I purchased a 10" Yamaha YST-SW216 10" subwoofer, which is connectable to the Vizio sound stand via its subwoofer output (RCA connector - convenient feature, I'd say!)....put it on the floor of the nearest corner of our bedroom, about 8' away...powered it on, made adjustments, and got to the "threatening" Ozark part ---> OMIGOD....I couldn't imagine how I could've been without a subwoofer all my life!! A perfect rumble....no distortion! That night, I tried the Bluetooth connection of the sound stand (another great feature!) to my iPhone music...another completely religious experience!!In summary, for about $200 total, you can't beat the quality of the $80+ sound stand AND a really great, low-cost 10" subwoofer. It is questionable that the small subwoofers contained in higher-priced sound bars/stands could get thru those low-bass areas...??I'll never know, since I'm now completely satisfied with the audio setup in the bedroom! Thanks for listening! (All of the previous reviews here were very helpful to me...!)

Great for small rooms. That’s it.
This is a inexpensive, space conscious sound bar device. There are a lot of negative reviews dude to volume problems with the sound stand. I was having the same problems. Google is your friend. The speaker has a setting on it called “True Volume”. TURN THIS OFF! It tries to help keep the volume consistent between commercials and regular TV. Sometimes commercials have their volume cracked up to catch your attention. The setting doesn’t work right and can randomly turn the volume down because it thinks it’s louder than it should be. Take a look at the manual. This problem is discussed in there. Disable True Volume. Problem solved. The device itself is terrific. The only thing I don’t like is it doesn’t have an HDMI input, so you can’t control the volume with your remote on any of the wires inputs. My TV had a Bluetooth audio out, which the speaker will accept as an input. Using this I am able to control the volume and TV with one remote. The sound is very similar to most good sound bars. It’s a good device for a great price.I also like that there isn’t a built in sub. I have a separate sub already. If you’re budget conscious, space limited, and want a good sounding device that fits in your current arrangement this is a good one.I’ve updated this review to add that over time the audio quality has become underwhelming to me. Having to have a second remote to control audio quality has become very annoying. I’m considering returning this for something better quality. After several months of use I’d probably recommend you shop around before landing on this. It’s cool but the audio quality is very low.Second update after four months of use the audio quality has become annoying. Some things sound great others the high end is far too low. I have to crank the volume very high which causes my sub to rattle the windows. I am completely dissatisfied with this speaker and regret my purchase. I wish I hadn’t waited too long to return it. I’ll eventually spend a few more bucks and get something with decent audio quality.
