APS Assembly Class 3 Trailer Hitch 2 Inches Receiver Tube Towing Hitch Compatible with Toyota Highlander 2004-2007

Bought this so I can haul my jet ski on my car instead of using my truck always. It’s really sturdy and easy to install. It looks great!

I put this hitch on a 2008 Lexus RX 350. It was very easy to install. Being in three pieces helps that but there are more bolts to tighten. The additional bolts are in plain view after installation, so it is easy to keep an eye on them over time. The hitch is so easy to install that it may be a good idea to take it completely off when it is not going to be used for an extended period of time. Unlike other hitches for this car, this one does not let you keep the factory tow eyes (for securing to a flatbed). If we ever do need to be towed, then the the operator can probably loop around the hitch's cross frame. Hopefully that won't ever be necessary. This hitch is very visible. The receiver sticks out beyond the bumper at least four inches. The corners of the frame where the hitch's different pieces get bolted together are in plain sight. The hitch is a couple of pounds heavier than other brands, but that won't subtract much more from the vehicle's tongue weight rating of 300 pounds or reduce fuel mileage significantly. The hitch interferes slightly with lowering the spare tire, which hangs under the back of the car, But as the tire is lowered it tilts towards the front of the car and then slides right around the hitch's cross frame. The reverse of that motion is needed to put the tire back. Bottom line: it is easy to install, functional, and very visible hitch that seems to give the most value compared to other hitches at the time of this purchase.

This is a very sturdy hitch. I installed it by myself with a lot of ingenuity and a floor jack. It fits great on my 2005 Toyota Highlander. It does look a bit bulky in that the corner pieces are pretty bulky and present somewhat of an eyesore. I haven't hooked anything to it, but I'm confident that it will be plenty sturdy enough. I used Loctite on all of the bolts, so it's not going anywhere. My main complaint is that it started rusting on the inside of the receiver. I've only had it installed for a couple of months. Had I not have used the Red Loctite to bolt it to my car, I'd take it off and return it. But, this was the cheapest one, and you get what you pay for. It's only rusting on one of the welds. I'll use it for the summer then take a wire brush to it and repaint it where it rusted.

its great, looks good, fits perfect, arrive earlier, my only but its that i had to attach the end peases other then that great
