Instantaneous feedback that tells you WHAT is wrong with your swing but not the cause of said swing fault
I've had this for about one golfing season. I shoot in the mid to upper eighties.***How does it work?***The device attaches to your club, just underneath the grip. It is small and lightweight, and it won't distract you during the swing. After every swing, you can review the 3D path of your club as well as a bunch of numbers related to your swing at certain positions (address, halfway back, top, halfway down, impact). There is a lot of info to digest! Here are a list of the parameters:Speed-Clubhead speed-Swing tempoAddress-Shaft Angle-Shaft LeanHalfway Back-Takeaway Angle-Face AngleTop of Backswing-Backswing length (degrees)Halfway Down-Return Angle-Face AngleImpact-Shaft Lean-Shaft Angle (relative to the ground)-Angle of Attack-Face Angle (FOR PUTTING ONLY)What is missing from these parameters is face angle at impact for a full swing. The creators decided not to include it because the device is not sensitive/accurate enough to report a value with high confidence, so they decided to not report it at all. In fact, any accelerometer/gyro type of device that does report it should probably not be trusted.***What the device taught ME***-I tend to take the club back on the outside: easy fix-I have a loopty-loop at the top of my backswing due to coming across the line: hard but not impossible to fix-My club is too open at halfway down: super hard for me to fix-I come in too far from the inside at halfway down: super hard to fixWhat I noticed after using the device at the range is: I ALWAYS REPEAT MY FAULTS. In fact, even if I exaggerate something to try to get rid of the fault and I feel like I am swinging differently, I tend to repeat the fault anyways. Thus here is the kicker: the device will tell you what is wrong, but it won't tell you how to fix it. Thus I recommend this device for people that understand the swing (i.e. you visit GolfWRX often) and are self-motivated. Take this info to your pro, would be my suggestion.***Putting Mode***The putting mode is awesome. This is the biggest area of my game that I have improved. The skypro told me on average I leave the clubface open 2.5 degrees at impact and I tend to launch the ball with a negative Angle of Attack and a delofted club face(basically into the ground). Just by having this feedback, I have been able to adjust my stroke and now average more around 0.7 degrees at impact and am launching the ball with a positive AoA. This has translated to the course as I have been making more short/medium putts than ever, and usually with much more confidence that I am getting the putt started on line. Putting mode is also great because you can work on putting indoors during winter a lot easier than you can practicing the full swing.***Overall***The skypro is an invaluable feedback tool. It gives instantaneous feedback, which is a must for breaking old habits (the old golf cliché "feel isn't real" is a real thing). That being said, it is merely a feedback tool and requires a higher level of golf knowledge to make true improvements and changes to the swing. It will tell you "What" but not the "Why" and as long as you know that, you will find it useful.

Most useful tool ever bring it back!
Was looking for alternatives as I am not sure if Skypro is still available. There is nothing out there. Arcos is basically shotlink, more for course management type situation. Blast has 5 metrics all to do with tempo and speed. Hackmotion only measures wrist angles. Skypro measures FIFTEEN variables all including temp, swing speed, face angle, shaft direction at various points and gives u a 3D render of your swing, picks out your biggest faults all with 1 sensor attached to club. Truly sad they are discontinued, a truly exceptional prodct. Sony has SSE-GL1 but not sure if app it is available in English!

Finally detailed feedback practicing alone
Overall a nice product. I would buy it again. Really nice graphics on the swing path. It shows you if your swing is on plane or over the top and if you're lagging or casting. Club head speed and backswing length are accurate.Missing, though, is face angle and swing path at impact. Curiously, you get this info at the "half down" position, but what good is that? A lot can happen between half down and impact. Also missing is angle of attack. It does give you shaft lean at impact so I guess that means a forward lean at impact means a negative angle is attack. Also a bit of a learning curve involved, but the help section is good. Seems to crash more than a few times, which is annoying. In a nutshell, it's no Trackman, but you get good bang for your buck with the Skypro

Just go to a Pro
First if you just want my recommendation skip to the last paragraph. Now a little background on my golf game and what I was looking for in the product. I start every summer in the mid 90's and end up in the mid 80's and I wanted something help me to break 80. I was debating on this device or a 4 lesson pack from a local pro for $200 to help me get there. I decided on this device for 3 reasons. 1. It was cheaper than the lessons from the pro 2. I thought there would be some kind of individual analysis of my golf swing and fixes for my swing (there's not much). 3. I could use this through the winter to practice and hopefully avoid starting in the 90's next spring. So now to the actual review of the product and the app that records the data. The day it arrived when I got off work I immediately took it to the range to swing. Connecting the Bluetooth to my iPad was a breeze and I got started in under 5 minutes. I chose to just do the "swing", which gives you an analysis of a lot of data points of your swing. I was really impressed by all the data and numbers it gives about the swing. Seeing the swing in 3D was pretty cool too. After the first 50 or so balls I changed to the "groove", which allows you to basically focus on 1 of 13 aspects of your swing to make it more consistent. After I finished hitting my bucket of balls I went home fairly satisfied that I had made some progress on my swing because I had an easy time being consistent with the few aspects that I had chosen to practice.A couple days later I decided to use the Skypro at home and get a practice session in. I was very disappointed when my first 4 swings weren't picked up by device and couldn't be "recreated" in the app. This was just the beginning of the disappointments. I ended up swinging about 90 times and about 20 of them weren't picked up. I also noticed that the "angle at impact" was almost always negative or backward, which was weird because I never had that alert when I was at the range. So after a month of going to the range and swinging at home and I have lots of numbers about my swings (650ish) but I don't understand my swing any better and I’m not seeing results on the course either. What I have learned is that I have a consistent swing that has a very quick swing tempo. The individual swing analysis that I was hoping for doesn’t really exist either. Each data point that the app measures has a description and a video from Michael Breed explaining what it measures. However neither he nor the description really give what is a good value for any of the data points and in quite of few of them you are told to see a pro to determine what value your individual swing should groove. I only had 3 different data points come up as an alert in the 650 swings that I’ve done: “tempo”, “face angle at top-of-backswing (occasionally, on my big slices)”, and “angle at impact (only in my living room at home)”. So with most of my data not coming up as an alert I don’t know what to work on to correct my slicing ball flight. In conclusion I ended up returning the device because it doesn’t really fit what I bought it for. I don’t like how difficult it is to use at home so I won’t really be able to use it as a practice tool in the winter, and like I said earlier about all the data I found out I have a consistent swing with a quick tempo, but not really how to fix my slices. It got 3 stars because it does give quite a bit of information about the swing. I would recommend this product for 3 reasons: if you know what good values are for different checkpoints in your individual swing, if you struggle with consistency, and if you need a reason to get out and practice. I definitely spent more time at the range practicing than I normally would have without the device. The 2 reasons I wouldn’t suggest the product are if you are looking for individual feedback and tips to fix your swing, and if you plan to use this indoors.
