Jenn-Air JMW2430DS 30" Stainless Microwave Wall Oven w/Convection

6 years old and out of warranty. The refrigerator light comes on sometimes. The micro oven combo panel is gone and $1500 to fix. I can and will buy a GE to replace at $2,400 awful mircowave oven combo. . Sorry they don’t have 0 stars for Jenn air appliances

I have owned this wall-oven/microwave combo for four years. We purchased the unit to match the downdraft range that is only available from Jenn-Air. We shouldn't have been worried about matching.Go ahead and google F2E1 Stuck/Shorted Key, and you'll find the error is extremely common to this model. (Which is hilarious because this model has no actual keys.) The glass control panel fails, or rather the touchscreen controller behind it. At that point, your oven is a doorstop. Like my oven, most of these fail around four years.This would be aggravating enough, considering the price of the oven, but the problems with Whirlpool/Jenn-Air have only begun. First, the replacement part will cost you somewhere between $600 and $1500, and that's if you can find it. Whirlpool no longer makes the part because it has a history of failure, and in fact I'm told no longer makes this oven. Whirlpool's documentation on the oven is flawed; call to order the part, they can't even match it to the oven. Unless you disassemble the oven to get the part number, they can't find it.The parts are no longer made, but have been replaced with (supposedly) #W11431981. It will not be in stock when you order. Your oven and microwave will be down for somewhere between 1 to 6 months, and there is nothing anyone can do about that. I'd like to confirm for you that this new part will work, but I'm still waiting for mine. It's been three months so far; I'm told it could take as long as another six.There is nothing special about this oven to begin with. It works as well as any electric oven or microwave, but the slide-to-select user interface is incredibly tedious. It is very attractive, which is nice because it will soon become nothing more than a prop on your wall. I like touch screens and all, but the fact is that if this unit had a keypad instead of a touchscreen, then it would still be working and be much more enjoyable to use.

Product was brand new for a new home. User panel failed in under 2 years for a model that cost us almost $10,000 Canadian!! This was July 2022 and we still don’t have the part a full year later!!!! Customer service is horrible!! All they do is apologize but never get anywhere! What a total waste of my money and time. I’ve spent hours on the phone with them.

We bought the Jennair Microwave oven combo in 2019. The control panel stopped working 2 weeks later. It was replaced under warranty. Now on November 3 2022 the panel went out again. This part is still under warranty however it is backordered. We have been without a microwave and oven for 7 weeks and no time frame given from Jennair for when we can expect it. We had no oven for Thanksgiving or Christmas Holidays. No end in sight .NO NOT BUY JENNAIR.

This product fails every 9 months since new. jenn air fridge also failed after 6 years. gas cooktop has even lost its labeling after 5 years. Worst possible brand experience oven has eaten every major component in the thing some are on 3rd part.Collecting sticks and building a fire to cook with is better than using a Jenn Air.

Horrible! Same problem as everyone who buys it Same error code and you through your money away ! Read above comment from T Bitsky. I had same problem .
