Philips AVENT SCF610/05 VIA Feeding System

Bought this brand's pump, hence this set followed as logical. The strengths - the hard shell of the cup (as opposed to milk storage bags), makes it easier to transport, harder to perforate or damage and easy to stand. The negatives - its size makes it take up a lot of space, which might be relevant if you have a small fridge or freezer (holds 3 days in the fridge, 3 months in the freezer), feels very bulky when feeding the baby and it is hard to unscrew the lids off (you might not want to fight with the cup and risk spilling the milk). Another positive is being able to write on it the date you expressed the milk on and having a measuring line, enabling you to know how much is inside.

These are brilliant if you own an Avent pump. Rather than expressing into a bottle, you can express into these pots and then they can be stored in the fridge.You get an adaptor which easily attaches to all makes of Avent pump. When it comes to feeding, you just screw a teat onto the storage pot (again using the adaptor) and feed your baby. No messing about transferring the milk into a bottle. I also love that they stack when not in use and you can wash and sterilise them to use multiple times. Also useful as snack containers when you travel once your baby is older.

This feeding system does not work properly. Pumping etc works but the milk spills when you connect it to the teat and then onto the baby...the storage cups have a tendency to break when you use them often and possibly when you overfill them slightly

I bought this product before I had my baby with the idea I would store expressed milk in them. The reality is that they leak everywhere and I could not use them as a bottle due to this. Also if just used for storage they needed to be kept upright so no use for taking out with you.I do now use them for storage food I have made for my little one. This seems the only use they are actually any good for.

As I am breastfeeding my little girl, sometimes if I need to go out on my own I use avent pump and leave expressed milk in a fridge for my husband, so he could feed our child while I am out. This feeding system is great for storing your expressed milk in a fridge and it easily fits on avent pump!my friend has a 2year old and she still uses this system for storing solid food in a fridge. Would definitely recommend this product.

we have all Avent products to this was a great buy. Went from being breast milk storage to baby food storage and now i am planning to get the sippy cup lids and handles to convert the cups into sippy cups. Only one drawback that over time with use the cups tend to get out of shape and sometimes comes loose from the teat or pump.

I have bought most of Avent's products for breastfeeding and weaning and I find all of them fantastic, and also reasonably priced. The most I like is their interchangeability,which makes them very useful, you can use the cups not only to store, but also to feed or extract milk with the help of the blue adaptor included.

I bought these rather than buying bigger bottles for expressing as it is easier than transferring into bottles for my partner to feed our little boy. I also felt that i could use them for making portions of food up and putting them in the freezer while if i bought bottles i would have to just throw them away. REally a big fan of the avent products and i think these are great.
