Amdro Fire Ant Killer for Lawns 5 LB

This stuff works and works fast. In North Florida and red ant infestation is a big problem. I have tried every single pesticide, deterrent and had $150/mo Terminix subscriptions....none of them did anything compared to this product. I had very aggressive red ant population that could NOT be controlled through diatomaceous earth, bait, poisons. All it did was promote colonies to relocate. This product completely wipes out colonies. They don't repopulate, they don't come back. It works locally and stone cold stops all activity at the site. Apply to the entire yard and ants will be a thing of the past. Very pleasantly surprised

I've tried many different ant bait and this one by far is the most effective. I've seen it work as little as in one day wiping out an entire colony. I usually sprinkle this around my property a few times a year and hardly will see ants.

Works well, cheaper than Home Depot or Lowes. I would recommend it!

I am going to take away 1 star from this product because it did not solve my ant problem. We have many ants in our yard which is mostly shaded. Anywhere you walk there are ants. I ordered this ant killer in hopes of it working to get rid of them. I put the powder down sprinkling it in many places we walk. It seemed to work at first, but in a few days, the ants were back like nothing happened. Maybe this is good for only fire ants. If we don't have fire ants, then maybe that is why they came back. Not sure, but didn't work for us. Not the product's fault as I am sure it must work on the type of ant it is for.

Good ant control that last a long time. Easy to use a the ants seem to like it also.

I’ve used Amdro for years with great results. I sprinkle Amdro around the perimeter of my property, around the foundation of my house and a strip or two across the yard twice a year and I never have ants.

I’ve used Ambro for many many years and it’s always done the job in ridding my yard of ants. My experience has been that if I catch the mound early I get better results overall, I kill the entire mound and less likely any survivors escape to build another near by. This bag goes along away and is a good value because you don’t have to use a lot each time. I sprinkle 1/4 cup on a mound and the ants do the rest.

This product WOW JUST WOW. these little ants were causing me so much stress, I couldn’t even step 5 steps outside the take the trash out with being ambushed by thousands of furious little red fire ants! If you live in Texas YOU KNOW how feral these insects are and how intrusive they can be! I never had Ant problems in Florida But these Texas ants are monsters affecting my mental health!I poured the bag around the perimeter of my house just out the bag without the spreader tool they tell you to use, & around the many ant mounds….. after the first day almost ALL the ants were gone, I could see their dead bodies in piles because it was literally so many….now that a week has passed there was a group that survived hiding under my trashcan & I moved it, and could see the ants having seizures or something then they crumbled up and died. It was a bit sad to see them in pain but they shouldn’t have been so intrusive in my house then and running up my ankles when I wasn’t even bothering them taking the trash out. My trashcan was also infested with ants crawling on it, I couldn’t even grab the handle of the trashbin to take the curb because there was so many. Now today it is safe for me to use it!This product is also amazing because it didn't kill the grass or other INNOCENT insects that don’t bother anyone.Overall HIGHLY recommend this for fire ants in Texas. Definitely buying another bag to maintain it.
