Sharpener is very portable. I order because i remember my sister had one and worked really well. This works good better for regular pencils as opposed to colored pencils. I order it to sharpen my color pencils and it works well depending on which brand of color pencils you use..I feel it didn't work well with my crayola pencils but was ok with my Prang set

I bought a couple of these for my first graders pencil box at school. When I began to sharpen his pencils I noticed they started breaking almost immediately after trying to sharpen them because of the rough texture in which these sharpen. It's not a smooth sharpen at all. I don't know if the blades are just not sharp enough Or if it's just the poor quality.

Doesn't sharpen as well as I thought it would, they chew up the pencils a bit, these are OK.

I needed a pencil sharpener for my 5-6 year old children to use. They are able to use this one with no problem, and I really like having the cover to prevent the shavings from spilling out all over the floor.

Needed a replacement sharpener and this does its job pretty good. Bought another one after, so now I have two of these.

I was hoping this would be just the right size for the Crayola colored pencils, however the large hole is a little too big and of course the small one too small.

they're better sharpeners than others I've tried
