Little Critter: Just My Best Friend (My First I Can Read)

Demonstrates poor/unkind behaviors- easy to mimic
Bought for 3 yr old who loves "snowball soup" and "green green garden," but the messaging in this story isn't great. For a child who mimics everything they hear & see it has more examples of how to be a poor/rude friend before it reaches the brief moral/solution that is less stimulating or memorable for a young reader.Maybe okay for an older child who can understand that most of the examples are negative and engage in conversations about why they aren't kind & other options little critter could use to be a better friend.I ended up returning without sharing with the child because I didn't want them stomping around and saying nasty things they learned from this book.I do appreciate the simple story line of these little critter easy readers & how the illustrations are detailed and show various activities not mentioned and easy to identify emotional reactions. Just use caution when selecting which to add to your library.

Typo in a learn to read book...
Ok book, but the one star review is because of a glaring typo in a book designed to help new readers. That’s incredible and goes to show how careless the editing has become in modern times. Did anyone even proof read this book?
