Bought this in 2019, went to use it today and as I was twisting the handle the opener just came completely a part. I will buy another one, but it is not indistructable.

It is very easy to use. As soon as we opened the package we used the opener to open a jar of pickles and a bottle of Dr Enuf that is a soft drink made in east Tennessee and they use something that really cranks the top on tight. In the past it took my wife and me working together to open a bottle. This opener took it off with no problem. The range that it will open is very good the pickles were as large as it goes and the soda was as small as it will open. The construction appears to be sturdy and should last .I have used other types of openers in the past, but this one is by far the best opener that I have used.

I'm a pretty strong 85 yr. old man but there are some jars I can't open and this thing makes it easy. My wife uses it all time too. It will close enough to open frozen water bottles. only problem is it will tend to slip and you have to hold it in two places to make it work sometimes.

Its best at small jars, for lids bigger than 3 inches, it is really less leverage.
