Excellent budget smartphone
Ok so I bought this phone because I lost my main phone and didn't have any insurance (stupid me) and I didn't want to fork out for an expensive replacement. I've had Cubot phones before and some family members have them now so I decided to go for this latest offering from them. The phone arrived quickly thanks to Amazon Prime.Once opened it took about 15 minutes to set the phone up fully this included installing a back up of my old lost phone from the Google drive. So I had all my old apps and contacts installed.Performance has been brilliant so far and I'm astonished at how good it is considering its price. It's lightning quick, installs all apps and games perfectly and even runs the latest games with no problems at all.I would say the only compromise is the camera. Its not the best but does take adequate pictures, just don't expect flagship quality images or video. The handset is light and a nice size with all buttons and fingerprint scanner in good positions to reach easily. The fingerprint scanners works very quickly and is easy to set up. The same goes for the face unlock, very easy to set up and works extremely well. You even get NFC and Google pay with this handset so you can make contactless payments.Battery life is great, I have so far managed normal everyday use without the need to charge through the day, my normal overnight charge works fine.Calling quality is very good as with any other phone I have owned. The GPS works great with Google maps being as good on this phone as my previous flagship handset. The screen is bright, clear and responsive. It really is incredible what you get for your money here.I have to give it 5 stars because its an incredible phone that works extremely well.

Not impressed with customer's service after fault developed
Upgraded from Samsun S5. Really pleased as thought long and hard before moving on to a non branded phone. So far so good.Phone is responsive and very smooth. Camera is good enough. Still trying to figure out how I can add-on apps for panorama, action shoots... Very decent photo in low light conditions. The phone doesn't have a jack for the headphone so you'll need to connect via Bluetooth. The phone comes with a rubber cover and a screen protection film. Note that It uses a USB C type cable. It says it's got NFC capability but mine says 'disabled' by default and haven't figured out how to switch it on yet.Really happy with it generally.Update Nov 2020: phone developed a fault. Did factory reset and still happening. Cubot's customer service sent in some complex instructions to flash the phone. Program wouldn't install. Cubot was dragging its feet and note really reading your emails so a few back and fro. Asked for the phone to be sent away for repair. Didn't offer local repair see so assuming would have to send back to China. Well, I'm not doing this.Amazon has been great at sorting this out with a refund in the end.

Premium phone without breaking the wallet
Purely my experience using this phone:I have paid only £149 so comparing and expecting the same as of top brands will be unfair. But to be honest, except NFC, I haven’t found any issue using this phone. Because its already on latest version of android and without any unnecessary apps, I haven’t come across any performance issue so far. As a normal user, all I want is the phone to run smoothly and meet my expectation and it really did well. No crashing, no lag, enough battery life, good sound, good network reception, nice camera -what else? The battery life is too good compared to my previous phone. Best of all, the storage can be expanded using microSD card which other flagship phone lacks. I am already enjoying my YouTube experience because of the tear drop full size display. The overall look and feel of the phone is premium. I have bought the blue variant. Not to mention, because it came with screen protector and silicone case, it saved me another few quid. For iPhone/Samsung you would pay another £20 just for these accessories. The only downside I have experienced is lack of contactless payment, headphone jack and thickness of the phone (may be because of the high capacity battery) but if this would all be included, wont this be same as flagship? would it be available at the given price?I think people buy high specs without understanding their needs and end up paying hefty bunch, but the truth is these phones existsUnboxing Experience:Premium packaging with device specs printed at the back of the box. It also had 3 peelable IMEI stickers on the side of the box. Like as of other phones, upon opening, the phone was rt at the top. Again, the phone had 2 layers of protective film applied over the screen. first film was supposed to be peeled off before using the phone where again the specs of the phone was printed. Upon removal of the top layer film, the phone was left with factory installed screen protector. It came with the pre-installed protective silicone case too.Along of the phone, there was few leaflets and manual along with white USB-C cable, white 5V/2A charging adaptor and a sim ejecting pin.

Superb Battery and camera
Was looking for a new phone for a family member as a gift and I took a plunge on this due to it looking very similar to the P30 from Huawei. I was not disappointed. The triple camera at the back provides a wonderful picture. I especially love the ‘Beauty’ mode which gets rid of pimples from the face. The battery is also amazing. For a phone in 2019 to be able to go through 3 days on a single charge is amazing! There’s two things I’m upset about, although don’t expect a budget phone to have:1. Wireless charging - if it had wireless charging I would honestly put this phone in the mid range smartphone market at a budget price.2. No headphone jack - :( - I was really sad to see the headphone jack removed, but I guess that’s the way everyone is going.Overall still, a wonderful phone!
