So much deliciousness!
I pre-ordered this recipe book, exited to see another cookbook by Rebecca Lindamood. And it does not disappoint! It was delivered to my kindle on December 17 and that very day I read it from cover to cover. Over the next few days, while we used up our store-bought bread supply I browsed the book again looking for the first loaf to make.I've been a fan and a friend of Rebecca's since I met her and her five sons at the local farmers market so many years ago. I've been at her house a few times, once to take a private class in canning some corn relish. Boy, was that fun! And delicious.Another time, I stopped to see if she would be interested in writing a column for our local paper. It was a long shot, I knew. She was a busy and active wife, mother, and food blogger (Foodie with Family).Rebecca had to decline because she was in the middle of writing her first book "Not Your Mama's Canning Book: Modern Canned Goods and What to Make with Them". I ordered that one as soon as it came out, too. You bet I did. When I saw "Ready, Set, Dough!: Beginner Breads for All Occasions", it was a foregone conclusion that it would be part of my collection. I'd already made her one-hour breads from recipes on her blog, and they are terrific. I've made them many times. The Asiago Herb and Garlic Bread is one of our favorites.I haven't seen Rebecca in a while, but she helped me with breakfast on Christmas morning!A couple of days ago, the first loaf I made from her new book was Pillowy Soft Sandwich Bread and it's everything she describes. Most of her recipes make two loaves. Since it's only my husband and I at home (our five are grown with families of their own now), I used the dough for the second loaf to make Rebecca's Fluffy Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese Icing. The filling for these is made with her Chai Spice Blend and I forgot I was making only half that recipe, so I ended up with buttery sweet chai spice spread in excess. Not wanting to waste it, I tossed that extra deliciousness into a container and in the fridge it went.Until this morning, that is. When I came up with this brilliance: I slightly heated that spicy goodness so it liquified and beat in a couple of eggs. Then I sopped that up with four slices of that pillowy soft bread and caramelized it in a generously buttered frying pan. Christmas breakfast was two slices each of the best French toast we've ever tasted. Yum!All that to say thank you, Rebecca, for bringing a little extra joy to our Christmas. ♥️ Thank you for sharing your gifts with the world. As for everyone else, if your mouth is watering and you are yearnng for some home-baked goodness, wit, and wisdom, I suggest you buy this book right now and get you some! It's worth every penny.

This is the perfect book for the novice bread baker
I absolutely love this book and have referred several friends who have also bought a copy. This is the perfect book for the beginning baker. I have always wanted to bake bread but had no idea where to begin. This book gave me a primer for how to begin and I especially appreciated the section that suggested all of the the tools I needed to have on hand. I also appreciated all of the little tips that were conveyed that seasoned bakers probably already knew about, but as a novice I had no idea. I've made many recipes from this book and have received rave reviews from my taste testers. This book was perfect to purchase during stay at home orders. When everything during the pandemic was so uncertain it was soothing to crack open this book and know that I would most certainly succeed in baking my first loaf of bread . This book was written so thoughtfully that any novice can pick it up and succeed. Buy this book! You won't be disappointed and your belly & family will thank you!

Excellent bread, every time!
I bought this book at my daughter's recommendation for a pizza dough recipe. The pizza dough turned out great - followed the author's tips for bread making including to weigh the flour instead of using a measuring cup. Then I went to the supermarket to get some bread - the shelves were stripped due to covid 19. I made several of her bread recipes and the soft pretzels. These were excellent. The recipes were easy to make with a stand mixer. Would definitely recommend! I'll continue to make when the bread is restocked. Easy, cheaper and better than store bought! I would definitely recommend buying this book.

Great present for mom!
I bought this book for my mom for Christmas and she loves it! She's just learning how to bake her own bread and she's made several recipes from it. The Homemade Sandwich bread from this book is our favorite!

A Beautiful Presentation!
Update as of June 25th.... I have now tried the bagels, they came out perfectly! Texture and taste was spot on. Easy to make too.Next on the list are the Olive Rolls made with semolina flour; can't wait to try them as I'm a huge fan of olives!..............My previous review:This is a very attractive bread making book. Gorgeous photos throughout. Clearly explained instructions. A good variety of recipes including bagels (which I plan to make first). One star off as I noted potato flakes in at least one recipe which is not in keeping with the overall wholesome theme of the recipes. Potato flakes are junk imo. If I try that one, I'll be subbing potato mash if possible. Another recipe required caramel powder which I have never seen anywhere. Otherwise, I think I'll be enjoying this book a lot!Helpful votes are always appreciated.😊Geraldine Helen Hartman, author of,The Groovy Green Kitchen cookbook series🍞🍋🍅🍔

easy even for a non-experienced baker, me!
I love this book. I have ordered it as a gift for many of the younger women in our family. Nothing makes a house a home like the smell of bread baking.

Excellent beginners basic recipes
Got this for my son who has gotten into baking bread at home. This is a great book because the recipes are not fancy and have simple ingredients. It is great for the home chef and I would say important for every kitchen. The pictures are terrific and look very yummy!
