The unit is exactly as advertised, and includes complete instructions in case one has not done this before. The included gas valve was a plus. Although the unit arrived with a small dent in the side, that was easily repaired so the cover panel seals just fine now. The only negative I can see is the wall hanger is fairly flimsy-looking, but since most of the force on that bracket is vertical, it seems to hold OK. This heater is quite heavy, so I recommend a partner when lifting it onto its bracket. Continuous hot water at the correct set temperature is the result, and I highly recommend this particular model if 199,999 BTU is the right range for your water heating requirements.

This item was listed as a natural gas unit. After receiving tankless hot water heater only works with liquid propane. Amazon will not return this item because it's past the expiration what am I supposed to do with it I do not have liquid propane.

Installing a tankless water heater is more involved than a tank heater, but this was a great experience installing the Rheem system. Rheem made a bracket that made it easy to hang the unit in the wall (it’s heavy!). The ventilation and fresh air connections just slide in and are secured by band clamps. I used an isolation valve kit, which is well worth the $60 it cost. When I had everything hooked up, I simply turned on the valves, and turned the unit on and I had hot water! How awesome it is to have endless hot water for our family of 7! Worth the investment!

I first installed one of these 10 years ago. Worked flawlessly until a massive power spike fried most of my home electronics. I ordered the same but newer model and swapped it out in a couple of hours. Powered it up and probably don't need to touch it for another 10 years......Love it

Still works amazingly, but was significantly damaged from shipping. We wont buy another from here, probably best off going to a store in person.

The unit was dented on the outside of box, mainly to front cover.

So far, so good.It all comes down to durability for tankless heaters, so time will tell. In the meanwhile, this unit is pretty easy to install. In my case, I had some challenges trying to retrofit this unit into the same space as the previous brand rather than start with new construction, but this unit presented none of them.All I know, is life with hot water is better than not. And it sounds really neat when it's on.Oh, and great features, engineering, construction and many thoughtful features. And although I didn't have occasion to use it, there's a prominent 800# for installation/service support right on the unit.I am happy with this unit.
