Waterway Swimming Pool Skimmer Basket 542-3240 for Renegade Skimmer

My basket had deteriorated from chlorine exposure and was breaking. This was a perfect replacement.

Perfect fit, just like the original

Fit the spot and doing a good job, although 4 not 5 stars because the plastic seems a bit brittle rather than flexible and so I wonder how it will hold up when tapping the basket against something to ditch debris during colder weather.

Same quality as the original that came with my in-ground pool.

I bought this basket in Feb 2017 to replace my original sta-rite pentair basket that lasted 17 years. I thought they are all the same, I was wrong. This one is thicker plastic and fits down in the "threaded" area very tight, too tight in fact. Very hard to twist to get out. The handle to basket connection is not a great design and has already popped out, but I just forced it back into the hole. The tab at the top of the handle makes it uncomforatble to hold when twisting. I'd recommend sticking with the brand of your system.Update, still using this basket as of 9/2017 because no other baskets are made correctly. Even the state-rite I replaced this one with has handle popping issues.
