So this product is awesome for the price. There were 2 issues that I encounter when installing this on to my transmission. The yellow foam inside was a little bit to thick/high inside the joint. I had to take it out and skimmed the foam piece down twice, not a lot, just enough to be able to put the Dow pin thru the joints hole to lock it in place on the transmission. The scoundrel issue I recognize was that the c-clip that came on the new joint was a lit bit loose around the area where it has to keep the pin from backing out. I reused my old c-clip from the old joint because it was still super tight fitted and I felt more comfortable with the security of that one versus the new one that came on the joint. Other than those small issues, this is a good buy for the money and i was able to put it on while transmission was still bolted up, drive shaft in place and exhaust still in place.

Don’t know why people are complaining about removing a little foam if needed. Works great

Requires user to bore out pin hole with a 15/64 drill bit in order to accommodate pin.The inner foam piece is also too large for placement on the selector rod. You can either trim this or use OEM bmw foam piece which fits perfectly.With these modifications it works.

Bad bad bad. The hole for the retaining pin was too small. Foam inside was way too large. C Clip that came with it was bad quality. The internal "bushing" sleeve broke off while trying to install. I ended up sending it back and reused the quality BMW original. Steer clear.
