Great bit of kit. Sturdy, works a dream and helps keep my phone off the kitchen counter. I've even got used to watching my YouTube cooking channels whilst I'm cooking tea and find it so helpful in more ways than advertised. Friends always comment on this and I will purchase more for the other rooms which could benefit such as dressing room and bedroom.Easy to install.

I bought a grey one of these to go with brushed steel sockets, as the closest thing I could find. In hindsight, the grey looks a bit naff and tacky, a contrasting black might have been a better choice.The frame is split, so you don't have to completely unwire the socket to add it in, instead you can loosen up the socket and slide in both parts and snap them together. Despite only being 4mm in thickness, that was enough for me to run out of screw and I had to unfortunately get longer screws to secure the socket back to the back box.The shelf bit itself can be pulled down reasonably easily, it's not too flimsy, but you'd be wise to close it when not in use, a well place thwack could probably snap if off fairly easily. There is a slight backward tilt to the shelf, which is better than a forward lean, helping to stop your device from slipping off.I guess a minor improvement would be a hook or something to allow you to tuck a charging cable back a bit for a neater appearance.Finally, the price is a bit steep for some plastic.

3 stars. Yes, even though I say really good and works. But check out the price. + its a tad flimsy. If it had been more robust then 4 stars but felt expensive. Think I paid in the £8 bracket.This one is silver grey. I bought brushed steel sockets for the kitchen and this matches. I was sat there one evening thinking how nice it would be to have a shelf for mobile phones next to he power socket. My family tend to leave the phone on the floor. And bam... searched for "power socket shelf" and hey. I had to buy one. Its as dear as the socket (practically... 3 stars for price). Easy to fit just loosen the existing screws slightly and it slides down the back. The shelf is a bit stiff/. You simply plug the cable in the socket and phone, and lean it on the shelf. I Like it a lot.

Great, neat easy to install and very practical

We have a couple of these around the house. They ideal for sockets which aren’t near a table or on the other hand keeps benches / tables clear and the phone free from spillages

What an incredibly simple idea!!!!! Brilliant and worth the money. Works well and you can get 2 iPhones on the shelf at the same time. If you change your socket to one with usb outlets on you only need to use short leads.
