It smells but it works!
I have an English bulldog who I acquired from someone needing to rehome her about 4 years ago. When she first came to live with us, the previous owner told me that another dog in the house had ringworm and needed medicated baths so she would too. Ok, never really heard about it much so didn’t take it too seriously. Fast forward a year and now she’s starting to get some weird patches of fur loss- it’s a bulldog, they’re super sensitive and allergic to everything so I figured that’s what it was. Take her to the vet, turns out it’s ringworm. He gives us a prescription (can’t remember which one) and Malaseb Shampoo, tells me to bath her every 3 days until it’s gone. Okay. Ringworm goes away and life goes on. Until it comes back with a vengeance about 2 years later! So I didn’t want to do the prescription again because I’ve read that it’s very harsh on their liver and this dog has enough problems already! So I figured I’ll just do the baths every 3 days with the malaseb until it’s gone- welp that worked and then It didn’t. The hair loss and lesions were mostly on her back and when those cleared up I figured it was working. Then I started paying more attention to her underside- all over her belly, groin area and under her arms was completely inflamed, red and rashy- ugh! I kept on with the shampoo every 3 days but I think her ringworm had really advanced, plus she was trying to find things to scratch herself on and ended up really aggravating the skin. I decided to give this product a try as a last resort. If this didn’t work we were going to the vet to get the antifungal prescription! So now we are 4 weeks in and it is working. It’s dried up the ringworm- she’s lost more fur as a result but I think that’s burnout from the treatment. She’s not itching and the skin that was covered in lesions is now drying up and good skin is coming through! It’s a pain to do, it’s unpleasant for everyone involved but it’s almost over- we decided to do one dip a week for 6 weeks.I give her a bath with regular dog shampoo, towel dry her and bring her outside. I have a big Rubbermaid tub that I have her stand in, I sponge this all over her while wearing gloves, her white fur turns neon yellow (I’ve realized that as this stuff dries it actually dries to a powder that stays on the skin until the next treatment, which is why they need a bath before applying it again), she stinks and she hates me but too bad- I’ll make it up to her when this is over. Lol- after the sponging I take the bucket I mixed it up in and just dump the remaining mixture right on her- then she goes into a crate on our deck with a fan right on her until she’s not dripping anymore. We hang outside with her and try to make her feel not so alone and smelly, and end up joking about how we have a rare breed of bulldog that is neon yellow... lol, anyway, I do recommend this product, just stick with it, ringworm is a hard thing to beat but if you do this and vacuum/bleach clean all the areas they go every few days you will beat it! Also, inbetween baths I’ve been putting Nu-Stock ointment on her and that stuff is great- messy and smelly but they get instant relief on their itchy spots- you should check that out too! Good luck!!!

Kills mange, Amazing! Don't let these other reviews scare you off
Simply put, this stuff is AMAZING. My cat picked up the mange, where idk. Obviously self diagnosed him using Google, but he seriously looked as bad as those poor babies. I didn't want to post a pic because I didn't want to be accused of animal cruelty; like, his poor eyes were so swollen he could barely open them, and they were turning cloudy. I was bathing him multiple times a week, combing, medicated wound solution, he just kept getting worse. I ordered this because it was the first product I found that actually advertised killing the mange, rather than relieving symptoms. AND IT DOES. Ya'll. After one dip his eyes were open by morning. It was noticeable how much better he both looked and felt. This stuff DOES turn bright orange, almost like the orange egg dye at Easter. I thought it would stain his coat,, because he's back and white,, but it dries white, and kind of powdery.. People are on here saying it stains, it doesn't. They're saying it stinks, and honestly, I opened it and smelled the concentrate and its not even that obnoxious. If any of you have well water, in Florida, seriously, you won't even be bothered by it. I could barely even smell it. I know that was long, but I wanted a fair representation of the product and how well it works

Great product worked for my cats demodex mange
My cat has a bad case of demodex mange mostly on his face, I did some research and found this product so I tried it out hoping it would work so I wouldn't have to go pay hundreds at a vet, and it has worked tremendously! he is starting to get his fur back and is more happier. It does stink bad and will ruin clothing/towels so make sure to use gloves and clothes that you do not care for, cause if it's a cat it will get EVERYWHERE. luckily for me it's hot outside so I'll give him his bath inside dry him off than take him outside for his sulfur/lime bath. It's a hassle lol. It only took less than a week to see results so it's way worth it! Also, NEVER wash anything that has this stuff on it with anything else it will transfer.

Helped our senior dog recover from staph-like skin infection....Highly recommend....
Our senior rescue male wound up with a staph-like infection on his back and hind legs. It was crusty and his fur fell out in patches. He had no visible discomfort: no scratching etc. We rushed him to vet and he did a skin scraping, which was both a bacterial and fungal infection. This along with a bottle of Vet One 600113 VetraSeb CK Pet Shampoo, 16 oz was prescribed. This, he said would clear up the infection, and it did. Of course, he had to be bathed twice a week and then followed the bath with getting dipped with this. That lasted for two weeks. He still needs a bath every two weeks with just the shampoo and we need to monitor his skin, but this did work. It does smell, but not as bad as we thought it would. It doesn't stain either, as long as you wipe it up very quickly. The trick is to let it air dry on the animal. We let our dog sit in the bathroom for 30 mins after the complete bath, and then let him out into the house. Our furniture had towels on it for protection and when he went out we went with him to prevent him from rolling on the ground which he didn't. He tolerated everything well. Highly recommend this, but it is cheaper here. We bought a bottle to keep on hand should he need it again. Buying at our vet's office is just too much.
