Outstanding cookware for induction cooktops
Demeyere Atlantis is fantastic on my induction cooktop. I have had this pan for almost 2 years, and it has been a pleasure to own.It is bottom heavy due to the copper in the bottom. The amount of copper is substantial, and copper is heavy. However, copper makes the pan even and quick to heat. I also have thick aluminum disc cookware (>4mm) in a similar size; this pan is faster and at least as even heating. The pan heats all the way to the edges of the pan due to the complete coverage of the disc bottom. It has a flat bottom, which is super important on glass cooktops. Excellent contact with the cooktop; no warping. The lack of rivets and the Silvinox treatment really do make it easier to keep clean. I use bar keeper's friend if there any gunk that's harder to remove. The SS looks perfect after this treatment.Use wood or silicone-coated utensils if you want to avoid superficial scratches in the pan's surface. Gentle scrubbies only.Expensive but worth it. Demeyere is a great brand.*** Update 2023Still going strong. I got a 4qt sauce pot as my second saucepan/pot size. The 2-handled pan is easier for me to handle for that volume. I believe the shape is the same, but the pan floor is a bit wider (~1in) than the 3qt saucepan.

Good heat distribution. Nice quality handle and great mid size multi purpose pan.

Heavy and Expensive, but a really nice Saucepan.
Heavy and Expensive, but it is a really nice Saucepan. We have used the Cuisinart stainless 2.3 quart saucepans for years, but we just got an induction hot plate and thought we would get a really good pan for it.This is it, The Cuisinart weighs 2 and 1/2 pounds, the Demeyere ways a bit over 3 pounds, the difference is noticeable. That said it is extremely well made with a very thick bottom which spreads the heat totally evenly.A bonus is that the steamer and glass lids from the Cuisinart also fit perfectly on the Demeyer.A lot of money for a pot, but we are very happy with ours.

Costly but worth it.
Bought this pot used (actually new, but about $85 off list) and it is perfect. I now have two demeyere pans, a "non stick" 11" frypan and this saucepan. Both are beautiful pieces, almost art-like and perform beautifully on the induction side of my new Viking Professional glass top combination radiant and induction cooktop. I didn't realize that none of my current pot inventory, except a cast iron stewpot, would work on the induction. For some reason I thought that if it was stainless steel it would do just fine -- wrong! It has to be "magnetic" stainless steel. Oh well, live and learn. I will keep my eye on the "used" sections and pick up another pan, perhaps the 3.2 if the price is right. They really are top of the line, not only in appearence but performance.
