Great TV - Great Price!
We've had our Sceptre 32 inch tv for several years now, and it still works perfect. We wanted flat screen, and weren't concerned with smart features/capabilities. Great picture, has all connections we need, and a great price. Very happy with this purchase!

Very nice TV set.
I bought this for my mom as she wanted a bigger TV set. It just fits on her stand but we had to turn the 'legs' the other way which works just fine. The only real problem I had with it when putting the legs on was pretty hard to do. The screws would not tighten with just the screwdriver they provided. I had to use a power drill to get them in, which was fine but shouldn't needed to. My opinion anyway.

Remote control easy to navigate in low light and great sound around tv.
Great for gaming or to use as a monitor/entertainment. VGA was a must and this unit has it.

Poor Resolution, Awful Hooked to a PC, Blinding Power Light
I purchased two of these as secondary displays to use for security cameras, calendar, and occasional OTA TV.Firstly, the TVs I received are not what is pictured. The buttons are now on the right side of the TV ,the logo is on the bottom, and the power light is in the bottom right corner. The TV tuners are better than most as far as reception, but even at a supposed resolution of 1080, there is a "screen door" effect that you would see on older 720P panels. When hooked to a PC at 1080p, text is hard to read. Black text shows as blue, and has a shadow effect. The same goes for the mouse cursor, its fuzzy, shadowed, and tinted cyan. This was not limited to one computer, or video card brand. IT took substantial time to calibrate the displays to make it them somewhat tolerable. Text is a little easier on the eyes at 720p, but I bought these for 1080p screen real estate. I cant use them to display text such as a message board or calendar, the quality is simply too bad.Its seems as if Sceptre uses 720p panels with 1080p electronics, and down-convert to 720p. I'm tempted to pull one apart to confirm...The audio quality is a little tinny, but there is an equalizer that helps with this. The power light is an obnoxiously bright blue light, and despite several menu features, there is no way to turn it off. I'l have to resort to black tape.In conclusion... at $109 these arent a bad value for the person looking for a bedroom TV, but I would suggest spending 40 bucks more if you want true 1080P quality. For my security camera DVR @ 1080p, it looks good. For a PC, its awful. For OTA TV, they do the job.

Good as tv . bad as computer monitor..
The picture for television is just fine, especially on channels like cbs, nbc, & abc, but as a computer monitor it's very poor . i bought this to use as a computer monitor, but the brights are way too bright, and the darks are way too dark, so that i'm constantly adjusting the brightness and contrast . even with the best adjustment, most of the time i can't even see what i'm doing to work . the last Sceptre i had was great, but died after two years, and was very disappointed when i got this one . the sound is fine, only if you use headphones . I'm going to get rid of this one, and try to find another, but it's difficult, as most of the tv's are made from inferior materials from China, and it's just the luck of the draw if you get a good one or bad one.

Great picture, poor sound
The picture on this is fantastic! Easy to set up & get media hooked up. The price was excellent. The only problem we had was the sound. It's a bit "tinny" & the equalizer doesn't compensate for that. We've tried all the presets & found one that isn't completely awful, but it's still lacking. We got a soundbar to compensate, but getting that set up is a pain! Normally, you have the cables with the yellow & white connections to plug into the audio out on the TV, then plug in the other end into the soundbar. This should allow both the TV & soundbar to play. This TV doesn't work like that. You need to use the headphone cable which means the soundbar doesn't give out the same level of sound as it should. While the soundbar has a more rounded & full tone, the volume is reduced making it impossible to hear. Tech support was able to help to a degree, but we're still left with the choice of low volume or tinny sounds.

Perfect for the non tech savvy!
I got this for my 82-year old Mom because she has dementia and the smart features of modern TV's can get very confusing, especially when one feature stop working. This is simple, just change the channel or volume. I got her a universal remote for seniors with the big buttons and this setup is perfect for her!Picture is great, sound is good enough - OK but certainly not great.Overall, I highly recommend this in any scenario where a smart tv might be pointless or confusing to the operator.
