Perfect little notebook
I'm in the military in a job that requires tracking lots of little pieces of information constantly. I'm filling 2-3 pages per day at least of checklists, notes, and discrepancies requiring fixes. I rely on this notebook heavily and most notebooks don't hold up to my daily use. I'm right handed but I still prefer top bound and really, really hate spiral notebooks. It took a lot of searching to find something meeting my exact requirements. It's sturdy, fits comfortably in a pocket but still has enough room to write sufficient notes, the paper is good quality, you can tear pages out without destroying the book and it does soften up a bit with a few days use (saw some complaints about stiffness early on) so it stays open just fine, especially once you've gotten a good quarter of the way through the book. But it's stiff enough to take notes on without using a flat surface. If I left this thing at home I'd be lost. Definitely will be buying more. I put a calendar sticker on the front making it easy to track duty days and for quick reference for scheduling.

Replaced my Field Notes
I usually carry Field Notes, which I love. However, I have to say, I've only been carrying this notebook, lately. It has more pages and is more stable for writing hand-held. While stiffer than Field Notes-style notebooks, it's still pliable enough to conform in a back pocket. Since it's a top-bound notebook, it actually works better as a pocket notebook, because the binding doesn't have to bend like a side-bound one. If you keep a Field Notes or Word notebook in your back pocket, you'll know what I mean. Its also easier to remove pages, if needed. Removing pages from my Field Notes would always result in the notebook falling apart.I've had no ink bleed through the paper. It's great.I didn't think anything would ever win out over my beloved Field Notes and similar style notebooks, but this Tops notebook has actually won me over. It's a steal under $6 (Rhodia, Moleskine, etc are 2-3 times the price), so stock up. I am.Definitely recommended.

Great for pockets!
Excellent little pad for keeping in a pocket or your bag. The cover is sturdy and the band fits snugly. Overall I'm very pleased with this pad.

Great for the price, but a little stiff!
As someone else said, it is what it is. However, I think it should be noted that this little notebook is much less "softcover" than what I'm used to. Both the front and back covers are awkwardly stiff (which makes folding the front cover back pretty hard without feeling like you're messing something up). In fact, the covers and the binding are all really stiff, meaning this little book stubbornly refuses to lay open. I'm hoping with time it all limbers up and becomes more usable. The covers are also covered in an odd, almost rubbery black coating that I'm not much of a fan of. I do, however, really like the paper inside, and overall, it's a very solid (very solid...in the stiff sort of way) notepad and it totally serves it's purpose. Even with all the minor negatives, it's a total steal at the list price and I totally recommend purchasing one if you need a little tactile, analog way to keep notes.

Great little notebook that will last.
I write notes, everywhere, train, bus, stores, ideas come fast and I need a small notebook to write them in and store stuff. This is just a great quality little notebook for all the random thoughts, ideas and stuff throughout the day. Bonus it fits in any pocket or purse and the cover can take a daily beating.

Gets the Job Done
The cover is sturdy, so it can be stored or stuffed in a lot of locations. Don't expect high-quality paper. Definitely, can't write using fountain pens or bold ink pens. All that being said, it gets the job done as a flip notebook.

It's small and able to fit on my back pocket. Great for taking quick notes. I use this one for clinicals at my nursing school and it works great.

Excelente producto
