DHP Lodge Convertible Futon Couch Bed with Microfiber Upholstery and Wood Legs, Charcoal

My roommate and I bought this futon because we didn't have anything on our living room, and because we wanted something cheap, we shopped based on price, not quality. So, when we received the product (it took the both of us to carry it upstairs but it's not super heavy), we were fairly surprised how nice the futon was. It's color (red) is not dull, so it gave some life to our empty living room. It was super easy to set up: we took the futon out of its cover (it's nice that it came on a cover, although the cover fits only while folded), twisted the legs on the bottom and moved it around to where we wanted it. The legs seem sturdy and the futon is very easy to handle.It's a bit smaller than what I thought, somewhat the size of a loveseat. Two adults can sit on it kind of comfortably, but I don't believe an adult would be able to sleep on it without having part of his/her body hanging out. The material of the futon itself seems nice, although it is not super comfortable. For me and my roommate, this futon fits its purpose and it is exactly what we were looking for when we bought it: it's cheap, we can seat on it, it seems sturdy and durable (so far) and somewhat comfy, easy to handle and set up, and it has a nice color. For that, we review it as a 5-star. If you're looking for comfortability and/or as a possible bed for guests, then I do not recommend this futon. If you're a college student or just got your first job (like us!) and need some cute, inexpensive furniture for your place, then I highly recommend it.

My husband and I bought this to go in our office. We had first purchased a similar one from Target, but after rolling it out to our 4-door sedan, we found that it wouldn't fit. I'm glad it worked out that way, because this is a bit more comfortable and a lot cuter. We had a guest who slept on it for two nights and she said she slept like a baby, although she did note she had to avoid the middle bar. For sitting it's a bit stiff, but throw-pillows help (especially since there is no arm).Quality-wise, we've had no issues. There is some thin material in the back that my cat has slightly stretched, but it's not visible and has no impact on the futon.There is space under the futon that I am storing blankets and sheets which is nice. There is also a zip under the material for a secret hiding place which I love.Overall, it has been a great purchase for the price. I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a non-daily futon.

This futon was ordered for the living room of my apartment and has functioned well. It was very easy to set up and is easy to adjust, even with one person. Although the futon is not very soft out of the box, once it is broken in it becomes much more comfortable.I have had multiple people on the futon at once and it has held up strong. However, if you jump on it or are otherwise reckless on it, I could see it being a problem. It is also worth noting is that the futon sits low, roughly 14 inches from the ground. For me this was not an issue as I am only 5’7, but could be for some who prefer higher seating or those who are taller.If you are going to college or already at college and looking for somewhere to sit when in your dorm or apartment, this is a great option. Most of the people who are disappointed in the reviews seem to be looking for something with a ‘classic’ couch feel. UPDATE: After almost a year, my opinion is unchanged. It only gets about an hour of use a day, but it doesn't seem to be wearing out (fabric no longer looks like new, but no holes or fraying), and my fears that it could collapse were apparently unfounded. Still not very comfortable, but serves its purpose. Cleans up easily: my pets have made a few messes, and it came right out with just water and soap.-----------I've had this set up for a couple weeks now, and it's exactly what it claims to be: an ultra-cheap futon, ideal when you just want something to sit on to watch TV. Color is nice (matches the photo perfectly), cushion fabric is soft, but the padding is very hard. The cushion fabric shows no sign of holes or fraying, but the black fabric lining the bed base started fraying as soon as I pulled it out of the box. I would NOT try sleeping on this, and it's too short for most adults to sleep on anyway. Oddly enough, my cat seems to love it; she gets mad when I cover the cushion with blankets. I doubt it will last more than a few years, but that's all I need.Very easy to assemble!! The legs are just plastic, and the overall quality just feels cheap enough that I won't let pets get underneath or behind it in case it collapses (I'm paranoid that way), but it hasn't actually shown any sign of problems: no creaking or bending, and it seems capable of supporting both me and my spouse plus a pet with no sign of stress (300 lb total). Note that--like many futons--the back of the couch will not touch the wall because the bed base is in the way, so stuffing enough boxes back there to block pets is somewhat tricky.

I love it!! Came next day as promised. Came in a coverbag. It was easy to assemble, just screw the legs on and it's ready. Very comfortable. I recommend this product.

este mueble parece de buena calidad en las fotos y por el precio me esperaba algo mejor. Para empezar la entraga tardo casi un mes, el mueble tiene materiable bastante corrientes, no lo recomiendo en absoluto. Este es el segundo producto que me queda a deber en amazon, el primero fue un reloj de pared, cuando vi HECHO EN CHINA, dije, pfff ya valio, y si ambas cosas son pesimas, deberian de restringuir productos de ese país

Easy setup but rather hard to sit on

For the price, couldn't ask for more. It's a bit firm, but my boyfriend loves to sleep on it. You can feel the bar in the middle in the "bed mode", but that doesn't prevent good sleeping. Nice option when you need to add some sitting space for occasional visits. Very, very easy to assemble.

Feels really cheap. Nothing I would want to sleep on, but I did buy it for overnight guests so it's their problem now lol
