The media could not be loaded. Bought the kit it's cheaper than peicing it together. Didn't end up using the fan. Ran the hose to the garage for a clean looking install. The heat goes straight up so I put a fan above it. The ideal thing would be putting a fan under the shelf. This one works well but under the shelf would work PERFECT. The shelf collects the hot air and the fan would kick all of that out to the room. I have it hooked to a 100lb propane tank and it lasts a long time because it doesn't need to stay on very long to warm the house. The house is about 1200 sq. ft. As far as the heat it cranks out..... I'm 100% happy. I'm giving this 5 stars. I feel this will take the chill out of our smaller home. The living room and kitchen are open so that area is nice and toasty at level 3. The 3 bedrooms are not aI was going through a truck bed full of wood to heat my house every month @ $175 a pop. The space heaters give a $400 a month electricity bill. I filled up the 100lb propane tank with about $80. If I get a month of heat from the 100lb bottle I'm more than happy. Even if this is as much as wood I am happy because I don't need to wait for delivery, stack, store the wood start the fire or split any wood. I still run the fire to put a deep deep warmth in the house but I use 20% of the wood I used to. I really don't even need the wood anymore but it does add to a very toasty house you can walk in shorts in while it's 30° outside. The key is using a good circulating fan. The Vornado and a ceiling fan do the trick for me.

I am writing this review because I saw a few bad reviews that were just not correct .. the fan is more for stopping the unit from overheating… Not for blowing the heat across the room… You always blow cold air from another room into the hot room..yes, the first time you hook it up it takes a while for the long line to purge all the air out… I just turned the knob to Off then to pilot and put a weight on top for 3-5 min depending on the length of the hose… If you buy the 12 foot hose, it may take longer…( if you know how you can crack the line and purge it… Not recommended for your average homeowner… Just be patient..mine is on the porch so the door gets opened and fresh air comes in quite often… If you plan on running it overnight, I’d leave the window open just a crack like grandma used to do when she was baking Sunday dinner… This is my third purchase… I have one in the garage, one on the porch and one in my summer house for cold nights… Worth every penny

Easy to set up. Easy to use. Reviews are correct about the fan. If you’re looking to move a lot of air this isn’t for you. But just to circulate some air in the garage it’ll be just fine.

Easy of use keeps me warm

Works as advertised. Easy to use, and works great. I ordered it with the fan and 12 ft. propane hose and dual regulator. It shipped out the next day. They kept me advised of the arrival date. I couldn't be happier, this is the way it is supposed to work.

I bought this because my home heating system failed and due to poor supply lines, I was advised a new one could not be delivered for 60 days. I needed an axillary heat sourceThe box the heater came in was damaged on arrival. The extra parts advertised as "The Kit" (fan & propane hose) were haphazardly tossed into the box which had originally been only housed the heater.Fortunately the propane hose and regulator operated without problem. The fan however, does not.The fan works fine in the ON mode. Auto mode cycles on and off every 10 to 15 seconds regardless of temperature.The fan is basically usless. The size of the output is about 1" x 2". You might be able to feel some heat within the first 3'. After that, forget it. I ended up up using an axillary fan behind the heater. That works.The heater is worth the price. Buy the propane hose seperate & FORGET the fan or the KIT.

Very easy to set up. Keeps our garage warm enough to use to meet clients. We use a 20lb canister every 2.5 days to heat a 350 sq ft garage for 8 hours a day.
