How do I attach the attachment pins - must I pass them through the thin wooden wall, then bend to tighten? That sounds bad.

I am not quite sure of your question, but the clasp is attached using small nail-type pins. They act like nails. On the other side, they could be cut off if they protrude. I felt this latch to be very authentic Asian-looking and quite nice. Gerry
