Great Boots
I purchased these boots for a long dive trip and rescue diver certification and they held up to a lot of abuse. They were a good fit with my fins and I experienced no discomfort diving with these. The higher ankles give a little more support too. Super convenient doing surface intervals on beaches or docks without having to worry about my feet getting cut or scraped. I never slipped on the boat or when wading into the ocean from shore over rocky beach entries. I did not like how they held water when I get out of the ocean, but made a small modification to aid in drainage. Additionally, they got wet and a lot of wear caused a bit of stretching and I could have gotten away with sizing down. I am still happy with my purchase.

Runs big
These are absolutely some of the best boots you can buy. They run big... in running shoes I wear a size 10. In boots I wear a size 9.5. In climbing shoes I wear a 42-43 (I don’t know why but climbing shoes always seem to be in euro sizes. In these mares dive boots I wear an 8 and even they feel a slight bit loose, but they are not loose enough to be a nuisance when your fins are strapped on. I was able to put my foot into a size 7 but they pinched my toes, and a size 10 was way past my toe 2.5cm/1inch.All in all it’s worth the struggle of buying and returning for the right size as the product is superior!

Scuba boots
Wore them for a week of diving. Fit well and do not slip on heel when wet. Love Mares boots. Fit foot true to size.

Great value, last long, go slightly smaller as they expand a bit when wet
Mares booties appear to be the golden standard for many dive shop instructors for a good reason.Grippy, but soft soles, good zippers, and tight fit. One will feel sharp and pointy rocks, but the sole holds up.They run a tad large made for a narrow foot, but easily flex to wide feet like mine (in particular when wet). I have 10.5-11 US size feet, and the size 10 are perfect for me.The only gripe I have is that there is no rubber pad on top of the foot, which might make the booties more durable and comfortable. But then, I have high arches, and the foot pocket of my open heel fins generate light pressure on my upper foot. But then, this is a very personal combination of issue with my fins, my anatomy, and these boots...

Warm, sturdy, a little big
I wear womens 9.5, I ordered the womens 10 and it's pretty big. Without any socks it flops loosely on my foot. I think a womens 9 would fit my 9.5 feet best. I wear these with either 3mm neoprene socks underneath or the neoprene socks and wool socks under that. My feet get cold easily and if my feet are cold I'm not having fun. With the wool and neoprene socks my feet are toasty in upper 40's weather on my SOT kayak. The boots seems sturdy, the sole seems sturdy, the zipper seems very sturdy. Very confidence inspiring. I use them for kayaking in the winter and they're perfect. The sole is grippy on wet rocks. For kayaking, I like that the sole goes "up" the back so there's sole under my heel while resting my heel on the kayak. These are some of the cheaper boots of the type, but they don't seem cheap in any way, they feel like good quality.

Great boot at a fantastic price!
Kept my feet super warm and great traction on slippery surfaces. Really comfortable they do run a little big I’m usually a 10.5/11 I got the size 10 in these and they fit perfect. Mares is a great brand and for the money you can’t beat these boots.

Great boots
I initially ordered small because reviews suggested it. But I ended up getting just a half size smaller (I wear 8.5 so ended up with 8’s). They did stretch a bit once wet but were very comfortable. My friend has a different brand boot and her fins often slipped off. These Mares kept my fins on nice and snug. The extra heel and toe reinforcement works well!

Great Boots.
These boots are great!! I bought them to wear when I go Kayak Fishing in colder temps. I’ve used them a couple times now with air temps in the 40s and they’ve kept my feet nice n cozy. They are almost to hot...lol.. They do run big so order a size down. My regular sneakers I wear 11.5 and my boot size is usually about an 11. I ordered these in a 10 and width wise they fit as intended (snug) but are still slightly long. I do however have a wide foot.

Mares classic dive boot
Pleased with the quality of the boot. Using it as foot protection during sea kayaking. Easy on and off with a hefty zipper.

Easy to don
Ideal for open heeled fins. Easy to don, easy to doff. Absolutely ideal for me (naturally quite warm) in Malta and Goza in April (water temp about 18 degrees), but I've used them in stoney cove at around 14 degrees water too and was fine.
