Works good to control air flow.
I use this valve to control air flow to die grinders. They work great.

Worked Perfectly For My Needs
I needed to regulate the impact of a rivet gun (air hammer or chisel) to bust some screws loose and this air line restrictor did just that.

Perfect for my needs.
This is exactly what I wanted. I bought a 2" orbital sander/polisher, and I wanted to be able to control the speed. I also wanted to be able to run it on site, with a smaller compressor. This valve allowed me to control the speed so I wouldn't tear up my work piece, and it requires much less air.

Works great, low profile
I got this for a more low profile option for my spray gun instead of a clunky digital regulator. Haven't tested it with paint yet but just tried it like it was in the photo and it worked great.

poorly manufactured to the point of being useless
Junk. I tried to use this to valve to control air flow to a cylinder for a Halloween prop, and it did not effectively restrict flow in any of its four settings, including the "closed' position. I ended up having to return this and buy a similar item at a local automotive supply store (admittedly way more expensive, but it worked like a charm). Also, the flow markings etched in to the top of the knob do not correspond to the actual valve position, also suggesting that the manufacturer is asleep at the wheel.

I use them everyday in my automotive shop.
I use them everyday in my automotive shop. I own two now.. one attached to a angle grinder and another attached to my cutting wheel. We have high air pressure in the shop so this helps me slow the wheels down. Been holding up great to the daily abuse. A few other guys in the shop picked them up as well. Great product

Ok for some things
Use this to regulate air for my laser cutter air assist. It's not real snooth moving, doesn't seal all that well. Could be useful for some things but not very good for air assist.
