Great bleaching kit for a dark haired person
Oh yeah! L'Oreal, you've made this f'ugly face look like a pretend movie star once again! And for that I thank you! And I mean this. I'm so happy I don't have to fight Wally World to buy this great product, and I can purchase it on Amazon. It's the best. But one thing.....the bottle doesn't work too well. I suggest mixing it in a plastic or rubber bowl and applying with a hair color brush. That works way better. I had the bottle semi explode on me one time---not good. I've used this for years, and it's never let me down. Always consistently good. Never streaks, always evenly colors. I'm just an ametuer and it always turns out like I know what I'm doing and folks think it's a pro job. People are amazed. (Then I'm amazed that they're amazed!!!) And I'm not good with hair AT ALL. An idiot could bleach their hair with this kit. It's that EASY! I've used The Clairol kit before, but this ones better. FYI. I'm just telling ya, cos I'm 64 and I've been bleaching my hair since I was 20. So I've had a bunch of experience........if you're new at this. This one is a good product. You don't need to mess with the two step ones. This one just bleaches out very dark hair in one step. And, it doesn't FRY YOUR HAIR. I hope this review helps you some if you're trying to decide which product to purchase.

So easy to use
My favorite kit that I use from going from a brunette to a blonde. Been using over 10 years my hair is healthy and long and strong. This is my real hair not extensions. I used other brands before it dried my hair and caused breakage. This lightens my roots and gives me my blonde color I love. It’s always sold out and sadly getting harder to find. I don’t trust any other hair dye on my hair. It gives me the salon look I use 2 boxes a month every 4 weeks to cover my roots

great easy to use kit quality, consistent results. Many tips and tricks and suggestions so read on...
I have been using this kit for root touch ups for a couple years now and even though I'm a supporter of purchasing products directly from a pro beauty supply location for most quality color and other products and treatments ...I'm also a fan of this kit. Its easy and yields consistent results as long as you follow the directions for mixing and preparing and experiment with the timing depending on your starting shade and condition or the hair youre bleachingdamaged - check a test strand a few minutes early. Its always better to redo the process a week later after giving your hair time to recover than to end up with fried tresses.Lighter shade-may require less time to lift color to desired shade of blonde.Healthy/virgin(never dyed or chemically treated)-still check a few minutes early and if color isn't lifting fast enough you can use a bit of heat with a hairdryer on low heat checking every couple minutes. Also the solutions ability to lighten decreases after the max time indicated in many home kits but still watch the clock. If your shade is super close and times almost up definitely try heat briefly. Even better if you happen to be lucky enough to own one of those dome dryers you can sit under. If not a regular hand held will work fine.TIP: heat causes bleach to lift color and lighten faster so any mixture applied very close to or at the roots is going to lifet faster than loose ends further away from the scalp. So if doing a full head for the first time and not just roots apply mixture around hairline and the leave roots close to scalp till you get the rest of the hair covered evenly and thoroughly. then saturate roots throughout whole head and loosely pile hair atop head and if you have a plastic disposable shower cap cover hair so heat from your head can more evenly lift root to tip. After thoroughly rinsing out all bleach mixture in COOL not hot water use shampoo from kit or as I prefer a shampoo formulated spcifically for blonde hair. many have a purpleish tint and/or deep conditioners with proteins your hair des[perately needs after a harsh bleach session.I really like Its a 10 for blondes line but others will work as well depending on your budget and brand preference. I especially recommend their 5 minute hair repair following bleach. Another that is a bit cheaper but still very effective is Aussi 3 minute miracle. Its not specifically for blondes but still really has some awesome stuff in it.I'm not specifically promoting any of these brands I just mentioned, just giving a few helpful suggestionsAny other bleach or color questions pertaining to the use of this kit or otherwise just ask! Hope the above tips and reccommendations have been helpful! Now get out there and see if blondes really do have more fun!!!Foxytaylor

So far always available
This hair dye is the best by far for a light blonde shade. I guess thats why it is hard to find on store shelves. They are always sold out. But I order on Amazon, pay a couple dollars less & have it the next day!

Not quite the “blonde” I was going for!!!
The box did say for medium brown hair and I suppose I should have listened. Left the dye on my hair for 1 hour and 10 minutes the results are in the pictures I’ve attached. Mixture was easy and I can’t be completely mad at the results as I have naturally black hair. I wouldn’t purchase this dye again thou given my outcome. Maybe if I did two rounds of dye my result would have been different but I was pressed for time and cut my “loses.”

Nice
I had my hair bleached and colored blonde at the salon about a year ago, after that I used the 205 on my black and gray roots. Today I used the 200 which is for darker hair, the 205 is for lighter brown hair. I just noticed this (: my hair is very unruly and dry, even before I started dying it. I use leave in conditioners and oils and it looks betterMy hair even though it's dark takes color really fast. So it may not work for everyone. You can see the black and gray roots. I like my dark but I Hate the gray and of course it really shows upon dark hair. My hair is quite blonde although there are a few areas that are a little darker. The 205 gave my hair more holden tones, well I'm 65 and retired and will keep doing this till l Start letting my gray take over. The last 3 pics are with the 205 and first two pics are with the 200.

Easy to use
I started purchasing this item in stores, then all of a sudden, I was not able to get it. I was told it was a “discontinued” item. Amazon still sells it.
