what happen if power goes off ( power outage ) ?

When the power goes off the mag lock unlocks. To overcome this a ups battery back up device must be connected to the mag locks so the lock stays on when power goes off.

Can you run two electromagnetic locks off one power supply, ie one lock on top of door and one on bottom?

Not sure how you would put this at the bottom of a door ( you would step on it all the time ) but yes you could have two locks on one power supply . The lock draws 1/2 amp at 12v , so you would need a 1 amp supply to run 2 locks ( 3-5 amp supplies are pretty common and would be fine to use ) supply must be great or equal to demand , never less .

My lock releases after a 1-2 second delay when power is cut. Is this normal? Adjustable? My old lock, a 600 pound version, released instantly.

Excellent Mag Lock

Excellent maglock. The "Z" bracket is also very easy to install, actually more easy to install than the normal Matlock direct to the door frame. Heavy duty.

Release button "E" ring

the "E" ring that holds the spring loaded button that helps repease the door bar from the magnet had come off on two magnets that I have installed. How can I purchase replacement parts for this.

Give It A Shot!

I work in Access control and decided to give this inexpensive lock a try to see what the difference was between a $85 mag and a $285 mag... This lock was easier to install, has a stronger bond with the plate, and is more reliable than ANY other mag I've worked with. Also, comes with Z/L brackets in the box... Are you kidding me? I won't be going back to the big name brands.
