Previously very very very disappointing for the price point but that has changed!
***** Edit for 2017 *****GGMM was kind enough to allow me to test out their newest version of this product.I have to say, it is really impressive compared to the previous versions. For the current price (about $139) this is a great sounding Airplay speaker. It sounds a bit better than the Philips Fidelio/SoundAvia but not as good as the Bose Soundlink (which do think isn't sold anymore). If you don't compare the speaker to anything else, it's a "good" (not amazing) sounding speaker, well suited for just about any style of audio (audiobooks, vocals, acoustic, jazz, country, etc... ). I tend to play with Airplay speakers when ever I see them. In the "Airplay space", I think this is currently one of the best speakers available.I knocked a star off for the volume and the application for managing the speaker. The volume is not quite loud enough for me, but it's loud enough for most I uses I think. The iPhone/iPad app works perfectly on the iPhone, but the iPad app couldn't find the speaker to manage it. Also, there is this really LOOOOOOOOONG introduction on the application that seems pretty pointless (maybe someone likes it but not me).The Spotify support is perfect (connecting with Spotify connect is actually faster than connecting with Airplay). If the speaker is on your home wifi and you have a linux box running Spotify, you can stream music to the speaker quickly and easily (without Airplay or Bluetooth).I changed my rating from 1 star to 4 stars on this product. This latest version has really demonstrated a few things to me.1. GGMM clearly cares about their customers. When the product didn't work for my needs previously they did everything they could to make it work. And, even after a year these guys kept me in mind. That seems to me like they are thinking about their customers.2. They are sincerely interested in making a product that is "actually" good (not "faux good").All and all I think these guys have worked hard to build a pretty darn good product. (I'll be sure to update this if it stops working or anything weird like that happens.)***** Everything below this was for a previous version of this product. The comments below don't apply to the latest version. ******Good quality sound. I put this side by side with my other AirPlay speakers (Bose, Philips) to compare. It is Good. To say it is "Excellent" is false advertising.I had HIGH hopes for this speaker because of all the reviews. I had this on a wish list for a long time before purchasing. The volume is not loud enough (yes I turned up both the speaker and the AirPlay device). The range is less than what I expected for a speaker of this price (weak mid-range). It also disconnects from the network when it goes to sleep which means you have to fiddle with it before being able to use it. None of my other AirPlay devices behave this way (AppleTv, Bose, Philips, even my still very functional 1st generation Airport Express from 2004).If there is a way to keep it permanently available as an AirPlay device I'll keep it (and give it one more star), but if I have to power it on every time I want to use it... I'll need to return it. The poor volume, weak range, and extra step of starting it up every time I need to use it will "put a fork" in it and I'll be done with it.Edit:I've had this speaker for a few days now and it will absolutely not stay connected to my wireless network (even though there is another AirPlay speaker right next to it that stays connected with no issues and 3 other device in the house too).I knocked a star off of the product for wasting my time.On the flip side the vendor who makes these called me to see if they could help out which is awesome, but still didn't fix the fact that this thing goes to sleep (or something) and it doesn't wake up without holding the power button down for a few seconds.I updated the firmware. Used their app to configure the device and then used the device's web gui to change networks just to test it out and in every case the device goes from showing a blue light and a white light when it's connected and working, then a few hours later it just has a white light and is not selectable from any AirPlay devices. Also, after listening to the speaker more, the sound isn't missing mid-range like I thought initially. The sound is muddled somehow. There is a crispness that is missing.Remarkably disappointing. The speaker is going back.BTW: I REALLY wanted to love this product (it's sexy appearance is top notch, the physical feel of it screams quality, the folks who make it seem pretty awesome, and they seem like a more boutique vendor so I wanted to support them) but I have to send it back.

This is my second one to be used for separating L and R channels might buy a 3rd
these are incredible for $79 after coupon. Best sounding battery operated speaker on market for under $150. But they are probably being discontinued so the website is missing customer support features and the customer service people while great are in china so communication lags are terrible using email. But they get the job done for sure. I bought one about july 17 for playing music outside on my deck with wifi mode and on my beach just out of wifi range via bluetooth or auxillary mode don't like bluetooth too much distortion when I can use wifi or aux input from phone. the one from 2017 sounded great but it's the brown one and was $149 then and $149 now. For $79 I think blue is very nice. These speakers are not as easy to connect as say an amazon echo (but echo sounds much worse and the battery powered one even worse) or a google home speaker (ditto) and I have all three. I needed help from china customer service because the GGMM app had a compatitbility issue with my google pixel 2 xl phone that I bought in early 2018 and hadn't used with the latest GGMM M series app to re-install a GGMM -M4 speaker. . In fact when I uninstalled and reinstalled the GGMM app on my phone (I was self diagnosing the problem given the 12 hour difference in china) I lost my original speaker wifi and couldn't get that back reconnected to my network via the app. But China customer service sent me a set of procedures to connnect speakers via my desk or laptop and a browser and that worked great. they should update the website and add this procedure as a downloaded pdf and maybe re-enable some other web featuresI also needed some help to get multiroom functionality working and that is the key to getting one GGMM speaker to be the left channel and one to be the right channel. In the GGMM app, the "multiroom on or off" toggle switch is not clearly labled. at least not in the droid app. And there are really no good instructions for handling multiroom feature particularly since anytime you change a speaker from left to right to right plus left you have to reboot the speaker. In short I love these and I've bought two and thinking of a third. But they are not for everyone particularly if you are impatient and easily frustrated by imperfect tech. But they sound so good I am willing to put up with some glitches since I have fixed them before and can do so again. The built in multi-room functionality works well with the GGMM app and more importantly with Spotify Connect which is how I listen to music. Since spotify connect has not yet created a way to play different sorts of wireless speakers simultaneiously, the GGMM speakers solve that problem economically without having to rely on Google chromecast audio devices to plug into the auxillary port and group together. (Google chromecast audio devices have been discontinued and while you can buy them at third party sites they are not worth $50 on their own; another alternative is to buy Alexa Inputs which I understand can also be grouped; but not with google chromecast audio devices. For $35 they are also not a good solution but at $20 I might just buy a few.)looks are great but wish it had a usb port like some of the other GGMM products and perhaps bass and trebel adjustment knobbs. but i'm ok with it as is. sort of like a bose very good solid design and sound but maybe not as many bells and whistles.to sum up. great sound, great build quality; app is ok nothing great and customer service comes through but isn't easy to deal with with such a long time difference and product definitely not for dummies. 10 hr charge time long enough for me. wonder about warranty and whether GGMM will keep this product around.

THE GOOD: I bought two of these refurbished from Amazon ...
THE GOOD:I bought two of these refurbished from Amazon through GGMM and was pleasantly surprised. You just do not get units that can be used through wi fi, Bluetooth or aux at this price point ($99). I was happy that one of the units with the a newer firmware would connect through Spotify Connect. That means that after you connect, you don't have to keep the source in contact with the unit. You can get the music started and then actually leave, talk on the phone etc. and will not interrupt the play on the unit....I KNOW UNBELIEVABLE RIGHT?!!!!!!!!!!!! I wasn't aware that was how Spotify Connect operated, but I was indeed pleasantly surprised.THE BADWith that said...I have the B&O 15 which I've had for about two years and it sounds phenomenal and gets very loud. I compared the two and like most people who have the M4 can attest to, it is not nearly as BRIGHT as my B&O...It also isn't as BRIGHT as an HK ONYX that I bought my daughter. It is on par or better in the BASS department, but just doesn't get as loud (more likely because of this high end deficiency) nor as bright. There was also a slight baffled sound that came from the back ports, only when playing on the highest volume and extremely bass heavy music. But, I only noticed or cared about these deficiencies when actually COMPARING the units.....If you listen to the M4 alone, you will be more than satisfied with the sound quality and it gets satisfyingly loud enough, but for TRANSPARENCY purposes it needs to be noted that it lacks in this department in COMPARISON to other units. Lets not forget though, this is a very WELL BUILT ATTRACTIVE UNIT and at $99, well below the $599 price point I paid for the B&O. As a matter of fact, I bought 2 to link in stereo or put in an additional location.THE UGLYI bought two of these units and they came with two different firmware versions which cause connectivity issues. Also, that beautiful SPOTIFY CONNECT feature was only included in the unit with the latest firmware. This is probably one of the reason that I have been having connectivity issues. I use SPOTIFY as my primary music source, especially when near my home and wi fi. When I try using airplay, both units drop at a rate that is very annoying. But, when I connect to the SPOTIFY CONNECT, I had little/no connectivity at all with that specific unit. WHEN I linked the units, the unit with the firmware that did not support SPOTIFY CONNECT (older firmware), would consistently drop while the other would not. I contacted GGMM customer service and received a quick response that they would be providing the firmware update file, but have not received it as of yet. It seems that it would make sense to have the FW UPDATE linked to the download section of their website, but its not. This unit also has a WIFI DIRECT feature which worked THE BEST OUT OF ALL OF THE OTHER CONNECTIONS, only problem is that if you are using any music app (this includes music in the cloud), outside of what is DIRECTLY on your phone, you will be subject to DATA USAGE, which is only okay if you have unlimited data, and even then after a certain point they may reduce your speed.GGMM has a good thing going with this unit and will only get better once they improve the firmware and high end response of this unit. IT REALLY GETS 4.5 stars which I reduced from 5 only because of the wi fi issues I encountered. The jury is still out for me on the actual Customer Service response with the updated Firmware file, though they were very prompt in getting back to me quickly. If you're in the market for a good portable unit.....THIS IS IT. GREAT CONNECTIVITY THROUGH Bluetooth, WI-FI DIRECT, and SPOTIFY CONNECT (with latest Firmware). GOOD SOUND (especially low end). Attractive unit in 4 colors and a carrying strap. Great battery life, better than any other unit that I've ever owned, to include the supposed 24 hour battery life (only gets close to this if you have the unit on one!) of the Beolit 15.I RECOMMEND THE GGMM M4.

A hidden gem in the WiFi speaker world...
The media could not be loaded. This unit is a hidden gem in the WiFi speaker world. Not only does it sound great, but it is easy to use and has some useful features that similar units don't include. The unboxing experience of the M4 was great. The unit is neatly (and safely) packaged inside an attractive cardboard box. Opening the box reveals some protective styro and the user manual. Once you get access to the unit, you will discover that it is neatly wrapped in a soft cotton cloth. This was a great touch, and really added a "white glove service" feel to the unboxing process. Further into the box you will find the AC adapter, carrying strap, and a heavy duty AUX cable.I was pleased to discover that the instruction manual was written well. The setup process was adequately and clearly explained for the 4 separate modes the speaker supports. I mostly used this speaker in an iOS ecostystem, and I am happy to report it works incredibly well on the wifi network in my house. Setup on iOS was a breeze, and after going through the process once the speaker was just a button push away from good tunes. When I used my android phone to test the same features, the setup process was slightly different. I found the best mode to use with android was the direct wifi connection as opposed to the router method. Once setup, you simply cast to the device (the same process used with a Chromecast). If Wifi isn't your thing, you can also use the speaker through bluetooth or an old fashioned AUX cable. If all else fails, GGMM has a dedicated, toll free customer service number you can call to get things up and running. The quality of the speaker was very, very surprising. I wasn't expecting much out of this unit, as most portable speakers are more for convenience than true listening pleasure, but the M4 literally blew away everything else I've heard in it's class. It gets plenty loud, the bass is deep and punchy (not boomy), and the mid/highs are clear and not fatiguing. The downside to the audio is that even though it outputs true stereo through it's speakers, it simply sounds like a mono unit (like everything else this size). It's compact size means you won't hear much left/right separation on it's own. This one pitfall is easily overcome, though, as you can buy another unit and assign individually as Left and Right.I love that the M4 includes a built in L-ion battery. Most of the time I have the unit plugged into the wall in my kitchen, but when I am cleaning house I can take it with me from room to room. The battery lasts several hours on a single charge at high volume. In short, I've never had issues with battery life and the built in battery is a unique feature in this price range.Unfortunately, as I only have a single unit, I was unable to test the multi-room functionality or the dedicated left/right functionality. I can say, however, that these features were easily found within the GGMM app, which leads me to believe it would be as easy to setup as just the single speaker was. I love this unit so much that I do plan on buying another one, and when I do I will update this review with the results. All in all, if you are considering a Wifi speaker system in your home, you would be doing yourself an incredible disservice to not at least try the M4 before you go all-in on something much more expensive (like Sono's or Bose). 5 out of 5.

Surprisingly good sound quality, but horrible high frequency spectras
Update 4/8/2020:Going have to knock it down a star due to Bluetooth problems. The M4 was hook connected to a Google Home through Bluetooth. The connection is solid as long as music is playing through it. But, leaving into on for a long duration, in the range of 8hrs to days, the Bluetooth connection would dropped. After the Bluetooth connection was dropped, the M4 had to be manually power cycle before it could be detected by the Google Home.To confirm if it was the Google Home that was dropping the Bluetooth connection, an Anker Bluetooth dongle was use to connect to the Google Home. There was no disconnection after a whole week of constantly being on.Base on this, it appears the M4 have some Bluetooth stability issues.Update 6/2/19:The M4 was tested with different test tones and analyze with the APx555B. The M4 had the worst FFT plot from 10kHz to 20kHz of all 4 speakers that was tested. Starting on 16kHz on up, instead of just one single sound coming out of the speaker, there were multiple sounds, basically, a lot of distortion. The makes recommended this speaker for listening to musics with a lot highs very hard.Original:This is the second one I got. The first one was bought back in 2017. It work great with some problem regarding bluetooth stability. For some reason, every now and then the bluetooth decides not to work. It would power up, then give an audible beeps signifying a connection is made, even though nothing was connected to it. When it get to that state, nothing could connected to it through bluetooth. After contacting GGMM, they did the following:1) Gave a general troubleshoot directions2) Ask to record a video of the speaker when this issue came up3) Ask for the invoice # of the Amazon orderAfter that, GGMM send a coupon code for purchasing of another M4. The coupon code plus the coupon clipping equal to a new speaker at no cost.Overall, four star is for the product itself. The fifth star is for the great customer support. The sound quality is surprisingly good for a speaker of this size. There is a decent amount of bass when the "bass" option selected. The treble is not that great, but is OK for general music listening, but not for any music with full tonal range, such as classical music. This was tested with streaming through Google Play Music, AUX in from a Pixel 2/3, and Bluetooth from a Samsung TV.This speaker was bought primary for the Bluetooth connectivity, so I did not test the other functionality. For Bluetooth, a nice surprise is that when paired to a Samsung TV, the volume can be controlled using the Samsung remote.

Mighty M4
To say I love GGMM audio products is simply an understatement. A year ago, I didn't even know about this company till a colleague introduced to the M4 and the relationship began. Since then, I've bought 2 M3s, recently an E5, M4 for my father in-law, and now one for myself. Every one of them successfully setup with multi-room wifi audio...I regularly airplay my Apple TV audio to my wifi speakers so when I walk away from the tv, I at least can hear it around the house without cranking the sound bar up so high.My M4 journey - focused on wifi as BT/line-in are a breeze, just remember blue = wifi. The first unit I received arrived with a dead non-working battery so I packed it up and shipped it back and ordered another one. 2 days later a new M4 arrived and I proceeded to charge it up and setup up wifi playback. Having setup up 2 units successfully this one gave me a challenge to the point where I had to reach out to customer service for a solution customer service is always responsive even with a toll-free number. The problem is the app is simply not stable enough to work with to setup the system. If you're struggling getting the unit to connect to your wifi this is what worked for me. First thing, they only work on 2.4 ghz channels luckily I run dual a dual wifi config.Solution 1:Reset the radio when it reboots, connect to the radio wifi and hit this IP address access 192.168.78.1 It not pretty but it will allow you to setup the unit but multi-room control or setup.Solution 2:Using my iPad, I downloaded the GGMM Music HD app and it was stable and gave me a second option to setting up and managing the both M3s and M4. Most importantly this app allowed me to update all the radios with the latest firmware from GGMM. I can notice better connection to wifi as a result. There's also a wifi direct connection when wifi is not in range - this works without issue. I prefer wifi connection to BT and even with aptX there's no comparison with the fidelity of wifi. The above experience is unique as my other radios were up running in 2 mins or less including the wifi connection. M4 app issues aside, this unit is a powerhouse and like the M3 leaves not only amazed at it's looks but the mesmerizing sound. I don't care what "audiophiles" here tell you, hearing is believing and the obvious comparison to Bose and Sonos is inevitable. Like Bose and Sonos, GGMM has a sound signature that's unique - it's full and with punchy low, slightly mixed in the mid tones but highs were expressive. Another GGMM signature is quality construction which lends value in the M4 to crank out tunes loud without distortion - the thing just sounds great and there's nothing that sounds this good in the price range. I'm giving the M4 4 Stars because speakers this capable deserves an equally capable app to exploit it.

Good sound, good construction, good functionality. Needs software QA and documentation.
I bought the M4 because the product specs and the reviews indicated:- It is Wi-Fi enabled- It can be used with multiple devices (PC, tablet, phone) with various operating systems- It has a rechargeable battery so it's truly portableThe product definitely met my expectations and I'll be keeping it, but I'd like to break down the rating on 3 levels:- Hardware - the box itself is extremely well-built and attractive. The sound quality is very good. I've only had it a few days, so can't rate reliability, but I'm expecting it to live up to its quality of construction. I'm able to carry the M4 around the house and even outside with good streaming. It's also nice to be able to hook a digital media device (iPod) directly into the M4 and use it without Wi-Fi - very flexible.- Software - I actually plan to use this most often with casting audio content from home PCs (Windows). The software works well, once installed, but installation is not as smooth as one would like (more on this in the next rating). It really shines with iTunes, since it is treated as an AirPlay device and can be used easily in conjunction with the PC's local speakers - so you hear exactly what is being cast to the M4 in another room. It also works well casting from Media Player. I found that software setup for a Kindle or my Android phone was difficult. The GGMM app installs OK, but getting apps such as Pandora to use it for casting is not intuitive (possible? maybe I have the wrong app version?) and, for me, just too much trouble. I'm good with streaming from the PC. The software install on Windows was not a problem (a typical install wizard), but the set up was annoying (see next bullet). In addition to the sketchy documentation, the software required a couple of attempts for HTML pages to load, etc.- Documentation - here's where we take points off. The manual that comes in the box gives a few pointers on how the buttons work, then refers you to the app install (phone or tablet) for details. For a Windows install, you're invited to download a zip file (no problem) and PDF doc (problem) from the company website. Once the software is installed, the doc gives the steps for installing and some screen shots. GGMM, Inc, PLEASE NOTE: spend more effort putting together a doc with more screen shots and instructions in complete sentences. Have someone who speaks English as a first language proof it. It will cost you very little to upgrade your documents and will make your customers happy! Since I understand how my home network operates, I was able to figure it out. Some folks might get frustrated and return the product. All in all, I would recommend this product. It does its job well - it would be nice to see it work with Chromecast!

Doesn't go to eleven, but still a great speaker
Some of the other reviews are right that this speaker doesn't get all that loud in the grand scheme of things. If you want to fill a good sized room with noise, this isn't your speaker. If, on the other hand, you want to listen to music at a normal volume (even over a noisy shower, where I listen a lot), you can't do a whole lot better than the GGMM speaker for the money.I did a lot of research before buying this speaker, and I'm very happy with it. In my opinion, it's almost perfect. One of the most important criteria for me was Airplay compatibility. We use Apple devices in my house, and Bluetooth just doesn't get it done. With purely Bluetooth speakers, I'd have to tell my wife to turn off her phone's Bluetooth so it would let me connect to the speaker. I purely HATE that. Airplay, on the other hand, doesn't require I go in and turn anything off. I play music, then when I'm done I stop and someone else can start immediately without me having to do anything on my phone, iPad, or computer to allow them access. That is the way we wanted to use our speakers (we now have two GGMM speakers, this one and the M3).Design-wise, I love the GGMM look. They spend a little more on the fit and finish than your average company, which is definitely reflected in the price. However, given the feature set (Airplay, specifically), I don't have a lot of complaints about the price. I have a few $20-30 Bluetooth speakers, most of which have been given to me or I've picked up at Meh.com. They sound horrible. They look horrible. Their connectivity is mostly horrible. I was ready for something better, and the GGMM fit the bill. I'd give it five stars if it wasn't for two little niggles:1) Maximum volume - it just doesn't go *quite* high enough. I want about ~5-10% more volume available at the top end. I don't need to fill the aforementioned room with sound, but just give me a little bit more.2) Controls - there is a useless "Bass Boost" button on the speaker. Why anyone would want more bass out of a smallish speaker like this is beyond me. You're never going to get real bass out of a ~3" driver. Not the kind of bass I get out of my home theater system's dual 8" woofers in each floor standing speaker. I don't need more bass in an already slightly bass-heavy speaker. Instead, give me a next and previous track button, so I don't have to find my phone to change tracks.I've heard, owned, or borrowed gear from just about every major audio maker. Bose, JBL, Klipsch, Sony, et cetera. The GGMM doesn't sound perfect, but it sounds great. It may not go to eleven, but it's a wonderful speaker that looks good and sounds good. That's all I can ask for $130.

Way better quality and sound than our jawbone jambox!! We LOVE these speakers!!!
We recently built a huge half pipe in our back yard for my husband to skate (he's basically an adult child, which is fine!). He has a very stressful and demanding job and skating is not only great exercise but is one of his favorite de-stressing activities, so I encourage it! Anyway, his other favorite thing is to be able to listen to his old school 80's/90's punk music while he skates. That just completes the experience for him. However, it's annoying to have to wear ear buds underneath his helmet, so he wanted a speaker he could use on the ramp while he skates that will be loud enough to hear over the sound of the board, with flawless bluetooth connectivity, deep rich bass, good sound quality and doesn't have to be plugged in for long skate sessions. We've always used Jawbone Jamboxes but decided to try something new. This indoor/outdoor speaker seemed like the perfect answer! We already have a smaller speaker by this company (the E5 I think) and have loved it (use it to listen to my audio books and podcasts in the bathroom while getting ready every morning), so we had no reason to believe this one would be any different and indeed it is just as great! For the huge sound it puts out it is quite small and light weight, holds a charge FOREVER, has FLAWLESS connectivity and does everything you would want a portable speaker to do. This has the finest quality of sound with the richest bass of any portable indoor/outdoor speaker I have tried!! We LOVE the leather exterior and carrying handle. It's super convenient and gives it a very luxe look and feel! It's definitely sexy as speakers go. Just know that if multiple people want to connect to this speaker and you're both in the house or the vicinity at the same time, whoever connected to it last is going to stay connected when you power it on again until you manually disconnect from your device. I think our solution is going to be to just get another one because we love it so much as have this one be his outdoor skate speaker and get one for me too! I really can't say enough good things about this speaker and this company. Beautiful, high quality products, great customer service. If you buy this you will not be disappointed! This beats the pants off our jawbone jambox! We'll never go back.

A portable speaker that's exceptionally good looking and can fill a room with sound

If it tries to be that, I'm going to look at it with a keen eye for why it feels that it deserves that. Here the standout point about it is that it has so many ways available to play audio on it, I'm going to list them, and each and every one is an advantage:* Bluetooth (with APTX)* 3.5mm wired input* WiFi streaming from Computer or Mobile (Android and iOS apps both available)* DNLA casting* AirplayAll of those are all brilliant ways to connect up, I'm particularly impressed with the DNLA casting, as that's a widely used protocol and a really good idea to include it if you're going to have a network (WiFi) connection available. The iOS users can also benefit from Airplay and anything it supports. I'm an Android person, and although I liked and did use the App, I found myself using Bluetooth. 3.5mm in completes the picture, I'm hard pressed to think of any reasonable device you could not connect to it.The sound is room filling, the bass is great (boosting button available if you wish). I tried it out in my open concept kitchen, as well as in my office, in both places I didn't think the speaker struggled. I was even more pleased to find a 6-8hr battery in there, allowing outdoor (well, away from power) usage. I'd take this thing camping or to a festival in a heartbeat. However, taking it outside would put that lovely finish at risk. This speaker has a beautiful leather exterior, thick included leather strap, real metal grilles and mounts and smooth velvety matt plastic which compliments it all. It's shot to the top of the leaderboards in terms of great looking speakers. In way I'm reminded of old-style boomboxes when I see this speaker. I say that as praise, as for a while speakers have been focused on being small. This one isn't small, and it uses that extra side for a sound-first approach. It still being portable is just brilliant.Top Marks.Pros:* Exceptionally good looking* Fantastic sound* So many different ways to connect to it* Easy to useCons:* NoneI was given a sample in exchange for an honest opinion

Excellent Sound
The media could not be loaded. Most of the Bluetooth speakers I have used have been smaller and more portable, designed to be on-the-go and useful when traveling or outdoors. This speaker by GGMM is also wireless and can go with you, but I personally prefer to keep it in my room above my desk where I can use it to listen to music. This is a much better speaker than most of the speakers I have used and I am very pleased with it.This is a large speaker, bigger than most I have used and as a result it weighs more. It is encased in a leather cover and looks very upscale when compared to plastic or rubber. The controls are straightforward and easy – power on/off, set the mode between Bluetooth, WiFi and Line-in, volume up and down and finally a bass booster. On the back there is a barrel port of plugging in the speaker, a reset button that you likely will never need to use and the port for plugging in a 3.5mm plug. The sound profile is about as close to perfect as I have seen in any speaker. The bass is on target – strong but not overdriven unless you use the bass booster. The midrange is excellent and the music sounds rich and full, not lifeless, hollow or like it’s coming from a tunnel. The highs are bright and clean but not piercing. The sound is balanced very well and I am happy. The bass booster does exactly what you think it does – it gives the bass a kick. Even with the boost, the bass is not overpowering but it comes forward quite a bit on bass-heavy tracks. I do not use the bass boost often as I prefer the highs. So far I have had no connection issues and the speaker connects very quickly when put in Bluetooth mode. This is an excellent speaker – far and away better than most smaller speakers I have seen and used. It is much more expensive, but it brings to the table great sound and fine connectivity. I use this in my home office where it sits just above eye level on my desk shelf, and I use it every night for listening to music.Disclosure: I was provided a sample of this product in exchange for a fair, honest and thorough review. Even though I received this product at minimal or no cost I have rated and reviewed this product without bias, based solely on my experience with it.

This is one of the best portable wireless speakers I have ever used, if not the best.
The media could not be loaded. This is one of the best portable wireless speakers I have ever used, if not the best. I've never really owned high end speaker systems and when I get the chance to review such products as the GGMM M4 speaker I am very anxious to see how it performs. I am no audiophile, but I do appreciate good crisp sound with thumping bass. The M4 did not disappoint! There are many features that help separate this speaker from other wireless speakers truly setting it apart from the competition. The price is little higher than I normally would consider to spend on, but the quality helps justify the expense.Speaker reviews are always interesting to me because it is a challenge to communicate what I am experiencing on my end of the camera and mic. The shotgun mic on my Lumix FZ300 is pretty good and helps produce good sound. Therefore, while watching the video you will experience something similar to what I am hearing, although not perfect. But let me tell ya, the sound is clear and the bass hits well. My only complaint about the sound is the volume could be a little louder. However, with that said this one speaker fills my 3 bedroom one story home with sound. There are some features that could help boost the volume and I will list those off below. First, watch and listen the video review and once finished continue on down the page for more about the M4.As you can tell from the video the M4 is high quality, sounds good, and looks great! This is truly the best wireless speaker I have owned. It's fun and a joy to listen to my music with. Some of my favorite characteristics of the GGMM M4 wireless speaker the ability to use WiFi versus Bluetooth, you can connect more speakers to either give a surround sound effect or place in multiple rooms to play the same audio, and the build quality. The M4 is made of leather, durable materials, and audio parts to make a great speaker. I also like the fact that you can control the speaker's features with a mobile app.As I mentioned above, I don't have much to complain about with this speaker other than the volume could use a little boost. But it is by no means a deal breaker. It's great that there is Spotify compatibility, but I would love to have Google Music added to that list as well. I normally don't have music on my device, but stream from Google Play Music. In order to enjoy my music like I normally do Bluetooth is the best method to use. This was sent to me in exchange for my honest review and you got it.

Not for me.
I tried to adjust my expectations, but the GGMM did not come close to my lowered expectations. The styling is nice. Sort of similar to the Fluance F13, F150. The attachable carrying strap is a nice feature. If offers Bluetooth, direct WiFi and Aux connectivity. Someone else may have referenced this point but for $199 this is a bare bones speaker. Looks nice but not a whole lot more as features go.The buttons are for volume control, up and down and connection mode. The Mode button displays a different light depending on the connection. For example, if connected via Bluetooth the LED indicator light turns blue. It lacks speakerphone, no forward/reverse control and no NFC. There is also the "Max Bass" button, which brings me to the sound quality. In my opinion, this speaker looks better than it performs. The volume is just so-so, and when engaging the Max Bass, I did not notice that much of a difference. I know the quality of the sound should be most important but for this size and price, I was expecting a more expansive full bodied sound. It just did not get loud enough nor did it sufficiently capture the mids or the bass. At the end of the day, it is all about personal preference, so for me at the $199 price point, there are better options such as the SHARKK Beast. I would also consider the VAVA for $100 less.NOTE: I noticed several reviewers by the same name posting different reviews on the orange, red and blue speakers as if they are separate and distinct five-star review struck me as suspicious. Something very fishy seems to be going on here. As of 2/19/2016, there are 40 reviews, but only nine (9) are verified as having been purchased from Amazon. Hmmm...I wonder where the other 31 reviewers obtained their speakers. Some were apparently given for review, and that I understand but what about all the others? I am not sure you can purchase from the GGMM website because if you try to buy, you are directed back to Amazon. I am not saying you should not buy this speaker, but I can't help but wonder if some of the reviews are fake. Just my opini'on.

Great speaker and good customer service.
The sound is good but not as room filling as my Samsung 360 speaker, which sound waves go all direction. Personally, I think both sound similar but room filling is better, I do like the build, design and portability of my 'Red Speaker', I rename the speaker as such.Initially, I have a few connection issues, but they seem resolved now. Need a few more days usage to be sure. Update my review if needed. After I post my original review, GGMM immediately comment me back to offer help. What a great customer support!Update: GGMM called today. One thing he mentioned was maybe router signal is weak for 'Router' mode. Direct mode is better. Well, I don't want to use Direct mode since it will have to use its built in WIFI; I don't want to use its built in app to stream music either; my router is very powerful router; supports AC and N up to 1900. He offered further supports, but I was in the middle of other tasks. Anyway, It triggered me to dive deeper; I am really a person that enjoy troubleshooting technical issues. Since he mentioned router signal, I looked into my router. My home is quite unique, I have 4 routers wired covering three stories of my house with the same SSID, which my laptops and iOS devices can roam through and use the router which offers strongest signal for that spot. It has a lot of features: One of that is " Bandwidth mode: 2.4Ghz 20 or 40M for IEEE 802.11n and 5Ghz IEEE 802.11ac. It originally set the 2.4Ghz one to use 40M bandwidth instead of 20/40M since all my apple devices support it. I switched it to 20/40M to be more compatible and also enabled the setting: 802.11n Protection, which reduces the interruption for a router that offers both 802.11n and 5Ghz IEEE 802.11ac WIFI broadcasting. I reset the speaker according to the instruction from the GGMM dude. I need to disconnect my phone from my router first, which I did not know. Anyway, I set up the speaker one feature at a time to see where it might break. All work!!! Now I don't have issue anymore: FYI, the issue was that: if the speaker is in Airplay Router mode, my phone loses connection to the speaker if I keep skipping the songs in my iPhone's stock Music app, a necessity for my needs.
